Looking for a carabiner for Mega Jul 2 and GriGri, can I have some help? Also, I have a couple inquiries about belay devices.
Edelrid Bruce for the mega jul 2, any small offset D for the Grigri. You do not want to use an HMS. Petzl suggests the sm'd

Gyms Worldwide Increasingly Ban Tube-Style Belay Devices in Favor of ABDs
I also don't know of any ABDs which can feed 2 strands, would be sincerely curious if you could name any. The Edelrid mega jul and giga jul do everything a regular tube does, and they're also assisted.

Carabiner wear from jul2?
My MegaJul does that too. 𤷠I guess if I start having material missing from my carabiner I'll replace it. For now I think it's just street cred. š I do think my MegaJul behaves better with an Edelrid Bulletproof carabiner. It's not critical though.

Essential Hiking/Climbing Gear
Climbing: For indoor, you really just need your shoes, helmet and chalk bag, maybe a belay device depending on your gym. Maybe a 40 m rope for lead climbing. Get a bag/tarp to go with it if you do. Outdoor, in my region, everyone adds a helmet at a minimum. If you're only ever climbing with more exp

I use a Grigri with an Ocun Condor (very cimilar to the Ceros) all the time. For the Mega Jul, you could also consider Edelrid's Bulletproof line (i.e. HMS Bulletproof Triple FG) for better abrasion resistance, but that might be too bulky with a Grigri?

Belay device recs
Skip Petzlās products. Better camming products exist (Trango Vergo or Edelrid Pinch), so thereās no reason to consider a grigri family. Similarly, if the goal of the Neox is ātube styleā simplicity, get a tube. Many brands offer semi auto locking (same class as Petzlās products) without moving parts
