I love these speakers, but I promise you, they aren't worth these post tariff prices.

I would say their higher tier stuff is okay. But $700, if I wanted powered, I'd just jump up to a pair of Dynaudio LYD 5s. Or go passive.

Kali Audio IN 8 v2 or Dynaudio LYD 48? Can’t decide!

I personally like the sound of the LYD 48 a lot (and Dynaudio in general), but the Kalis are just the better deal here. In my opinion, the LYD series’s build quality and lack of features just does not justify their price. Check out the enclosure up close, it’s just kind of cheaply made. So is the Ka

Speaker Recommendations? (PA vs Monitors)

I got two Dynaudio LYD 5 and they were 500 each. They sound amazing at really low and really high volume.

Studio monitors for casual music enjoyment

For 800 there is a lot of mid level choices. I would recommend Dynaudio LYD-5 or LYD-7 or Focal Alpha EVO 65 or Yamaha HS 8. And add IK multimedia ARC studio to use automated room correction.Or you can take IK Multimedia iLoud MTM MKII monitors - those come with internal room correction and have cor

Dynaudio LYD 8 for $725 or LYD 48 for $1750

Thanks for the reply! I forgot to update, but I actually ended up getting a pair of LYD 7s for $650. I mainly work on rock these days, but I do a bit of electronic/pop here and there. As for what else I tried, I tried the entry level barefoot 3-Ways, Kali IN 8v2, Dynaudio obviously and a Focal pair

Clean setup, but feels like something’s missing… any ideas?

You can have bigger monitor. Like 34'', 45'' curved or bigger 16:9 32'' or 43''.And you can get better sound monitors. Like Genelec 8341 aw if you have high budget or Dynaudio LYD-5(white colored) if you don't want to spend 4k on sound.
