Made a custom wrist rest, keyboard died an hour later

hah, that reminds me back when I made a woddern wrist rest for my Ducky One 2 Mini, spend weeks oiling the wood, and let it dry to havea real nice finish. The day it was finally done, I go to my desk, set the wood wrist rest and the keyboard died the following day. Wrist rest has been sitting on a s

An ode to the Ducky One 2 SF

I bought a Ducky One 2 Mini back in 2019, and it's definitely not a bad board. I particularly liked the on-board approach to the firmware : no VIA, no QMK, no bloatware to use with it, everything was done on the board itself or with dip-switches. All of that being said though, I can't say this board

I have a Ducky One 2 Mini I got as a gift from my sister a couple years ago. I've loved it, but lately I've been thinking about swapping out the switches as the blacks it came with are a bit heavy. For a while I was assuming they would just pop out and be swappable, but now that I've properly looked

I have a Ducky One 2 Mini Frozen Llama and wanted to keep the stock case and keycaps. As you discovered, the Ducky One 2 Mini has soldered switches. I swapped in a new hot swappable PCB (1UP Keyboards pi60 RGB v2), aluminum plate, TX AP screw-in stabilizers, and new switches (Kailh speed copper). Ho

At what point did you notice keyboards actually make a difference?

tbh, I realized there was a big enough change when I realized that I was looking forward to type on my keyboard because the feel was nice Before getting into keyboards, even dealing with my gaming mechanical keaybord, I wasn't much of a typis because the keeb itself wasn't that enjoyable to type on.

searching for keyboard recommendations !

For what you need, check out the Keychron K6 or the Ducky One 2 Mini both are good for gaming, have nice switch choices, and you can mess with the RGB lighting a lot. They feel pretty sturdy, even if they’re not aluminum. If you want a deeper comparison, have you checked out keyboardyeti? They go in

Greetings keyboard enjoyers I'm looking for a new keyboard that feels like a Ducky One 2 Mini TKL but more "premium". I have been using a ton of different keyboards as of lately and I really liked the build quality of the Aula keyboards (F75 and F99) - unfortunately the switches (leobog greywood V3)

Ducky One SF 2 double keystroke

Those seem to be the 2 best likeliest solutions, I've replaced my Ducky one 2 mini (60%) because of chatter issues after 3 or 4 years of issues. Cherry MX silent reds. Currently on a Ducky one 3 TKL with switches replaced from MX blues to MX Blossom. If chatter occurs I'll simply replace them again.

Looking for a new keyboard, what's everyone's suggestions?

Check out the keychron K6 or the Ducky One 2 Mini if you want a 60% board... They’re built well and have a bunch of switch options, plus you can grab them in black or pink. If you’re cool with TKL, the Keychron K8 is a good pick too, and it’s got Bluetooth. Also, keyboardyeti has a comparison table
