Probably either the Roborock saros10r, or the dreame l50, I think the dreame is slightly better at hair pickup, but I would say go for the saros for better customer support and build quality.

My iRobot Roomba 780 lasted 15 years until I eventually replaced it with a L50 Ultra. Only a few battery replacements over the years. I don’t have so high expectations for Dreame. More parts that can break. Hopefully 3-5 years.

My L50 ultra mop drying sound is rather quiet, you do hear it, but it's not much, comparable to ac fan. Try testing it isn't something resonating, like other comment says, different floor, or try putting something underneath base, and test it. If it stays no matter what, I would do warranty stuff. I

Skip the Dreame. I had a friend with that exact model and it stopped working after a month and Dreame said they can only replace it with the L50 Ultra which tells me there’s likely a known defect with the L40 variant. I agree with the end of your statement, I love Dreame, their robots are fantastic. I just don't love their customer service purely based on what I've heard about them lol. I'm rocking an L50 Ultra and have been for a few weeks and it's been awesome hope it stays that way!
