I think SportDog makes the most reliable and easy to use basic collar if you want your dog remain within your line of sight. Look into hunting collars for dogs. Dogtra Pathfinder 2, pathfinder mini or pathfinder TRX are three that come to mind for having bark detection - some limitations tho so worth checking if there’s some that are remote monitoring. Tractive 6 looks like a great option.

This weekend I determined that the Dogtra Pathfinder 2 is not for me. I'm sending it back... Just not as user friendly as I like. The additional features beyond what my SportDog collars provide aren't worth the hassle.

So I have a 40lb English setter. Recently upgraded to the pathfinder 2 from the dogtra 1900s. It just barely fits on his neck. I literally have it on the tightest hole. I almost returned it but decided to just keep using it. I would recommend that you get the mini version.

This is a lot of assumptions, I don’t know why you’re trying to pick a fight. Lazy people don’t have off-leash-trained dogs. I thought I mentioned it earlier but maybe not; I live in the suburbs, not a city. I’m not making my dog do off-leash down-stays in Times Square or whatever you’re envisioning
