Any regrets on the Niche Zero [£500/600]
i've had a Niche Zero since 2021 and honestly yeah it's still great for espresso. the workflow is stupid easy - no bellows, no RDT needed, retention is like 0.1g. that said in 2026 the DF64 Gen 2 with stock burrs gives you more clarity for similar money. if you do straight espresso and occasional mi

Recommend a grinder to pair with Profitec Go please
I used to have this machine and paired it with the DF64 Gen 2 and was always pleased with the results. It’s efficient, not super expensive, gets the job done and looks nice in my opinion.

Got a bottomless and a puck.
Kingrinder K6, embrace the handgrinder until you have money. Also...and maybe take a breath here...a nice electric espresso grinder isn't going to be 250...it's going to be 800 bucks (or more)...just be aware. You can get like a DF64 Gen 2.5 for 3-400...and that's all go and no frills, cheaper grind

Best electric grinder for filter coffee? (clarity + light roasts)
I just went through the same process about a month ago. Really wanted a high end filter first grinder. I found that, especially with filter grinders, you hit the point of diminishing returns pretty quickly. The conclusion that I came to is that almost every 64mm flat burr grinder is functionally the

Finally pulled the trigger on a proper home setup — but the grinder is giving me headaches
so, my budget solutions with Dedica were: - buy pre-ground coffee that is ok for Dedica's default pressurized (double-wall) basket, but not ok if you want to play with after-market unpressurized basket- buy at a coffee shop where they can grind you with their pro grinder what you want - it requires

Help me start out [$2500]
built in grinders are a trap - you'll outgrow them fast and cant upgrade separately. for $2500 get the DF64 Gen 2 grinder ($400) and Profitec GO ($900). that leaves $1200 for accessories. grab a normcore v4 tamper, wdt tool, bottomless portafilter, and precision basket. the rest goes to a scale with

Why is the grinder game so stressful…?
I have loved my df64 gen 2 regardless of what everyone else says. No retention no fuss just align the burrs and it’s been a workhorse daily for like 2 years. It’s pretty cheap all things considered.

Share your setup!
I've got an Arkel Coast and DF64 Gen 2 and enjoying the coffee I make. The Normcore accessories were pricey but I just couldn't resist tying all the walnut together. I've always considered upgrading the grinder but I make mainly milk based drinks for myself and the Mrs and I'm still enjoying my brew
