What’s the Best Coffee Grinder to Buy Right Now?

With your budget and brewing both espresso + pour over, consistency and workflow matter more than chasing spec sheets. The 64mm flat burr grinders like the DF64 and Sculptor are very capable and get a lot of love because they’re modular and tweakable. Great clarity for filter, strong for espresso. T

Grinder recommendations needed [$300-$350] I’m open to hand grinders or auto

I have a DF64 Gen 2. Got it from Espresso Outlet who was incredibly kind and gave me a discount and the raise I would not have been able to afford it, ngl. I am incredibly happy with both my grinder, and the espresso it produces.

Shall I pull the trigger or invest in an electric?

As several folks already mentioned, go for an electric grinder. If the plan is to buy the K-Ultra now and eventually upgrade to electric, you’ll likely save money and hassle by jumping straight to electric instead of paying twice. I’d recommend the DF64 Gen 2 from Fix Coffee. I picked one up recentl

Buying advice needed [no budget]

Got it, I’ll say that you aren’t likely to find something that meets all those criteria. Things that are high clarity for espresso, tend not to work well for multipurpose brewing. Plus you’re talking entry level pricing so that’s gonna be tough. I’m not super familiar with the recent entries to the

Df64 gen 3 need help??

I have a gen 2 DF64. I bought it when I was using a delonghi dedica deluxe (from circa 2019). (I invested in the grinder first, on many people’s advice that the grinder was much more important). The dedica could not handle the ability of the DF64G2 to produce finer grinds. I was regularly grinding b

Questions about going with Breville Grinder with BDB or going with a seperate type of grinder [$200-$300]

I just got a Turin DF64 gen 2 for a little more than what your “all in” is going to be for a standalone and it’s blowing my mind how much better it is than the onboard grinder in my Barista Pro. I think you’re much better off going that route rather than the $100 Breville grinder, but that’s my 2 ce

Complete and utter novice with assuredly dumb questions

you need an espresso specific grinder not beans ground my your shop. Don’t even go to target to buy a grinder you need to get online and order a good espresso grinder. Df64 gen 2, option o casa, timemore 064s, eureka minion zero etc… keep the stream wand valve closed at all time unless you are steam

Looking for my Perfect Machine [$1000]

Baratza encore esp, encore esp pro, and sette 270 are all going to offer the fine adjustment you want with espresso, and potentially come with baratza's very good customer service. The fellow opus gen 2 might be amazing value for the price but it's still an unknown. The varia vs3 is good except for

Need espresso grinder recommendations under [$500] for a small coffee shop (clumping issues with my current one!)

Full agree with some of the earlier posts here. For a commercial setting under $500, you're honestly in a tough spot because most reliable commercial grinders start around $800+. That said, the DF64 Gen 2 or DF83 (~$400-500) can handle light commercial volume if you're doing maybe 50-100 shots a day

Why SHOULDN'T I buy the DF64? [$600]

At this price brand new grinder,it is the best in my opinion for espresso. For 600, you can get the latest DF64v gen 3 or and DF64 gen 2.5 with SSP burr.
