Making Espresso at Home (First Machine) [$1k USD]
The little breville barista express is a cool machine but not the best grinder I sold mine used for $250. They go on sale around Black Friday for $500ish so def wait for a sale. Bambino is very close to being this machine minus the grinder and can be found cheap. The df64 gen 2 grinder that you ment

Bambino + DF54 - Best bang for my buck first station?
Yep. The DF64 Gen 2 is also amazing after two years of constant use for me. But careful saying that here the Euroids will lose their mind.

Casabrews Ultra Pro? [$500-$1000]
I’d still lean Bambino Plus + a really solid grinder over the Ultra Pro right now, mainly because the Bambino has a much bigger track record and way more community knowledge/support if something goes wrong or you’re trying to dial things in. The Ultra Pro honestly looks impressive on paper for the p

Best coffee grinder in 2026 for home? My Budget $100–$300
From what I gather, the DF64 doesn’t have the same clogging issues. I’ve had my DF64 Gen 2 for about 3 years now and it’s never clogged on me despite literally never being cleaned out 🤣

Why is the grinder game so stressful…?
I have loved my df64 gen 2 regardless of what everyone else says. No retention no fuss just align the burrs and it’s been a workhorse daily for like 2 years. It’s pretty cheap all things considered.

Fancy grinder with cheap/basic espresso maker?
Mostly because it seems like it has less retention and I wouldn’t need to constantly unclog it and use bellows. Also the conical burrs vs flat burrs. If conical does indeed produce a grind that makes a more syrupy, nutty, chocolatey espresso that is probably what I would enjoy more than the bright n

Failing to pull a shot on Delonghi dedica ec890 with bottomless portafilter
I agree with not going with a manual hand grinder. At the lowest end I'd say Baratza Encore ESP, HiBrew G5 or the Shardor 64 (sold as Rift 64 or Orbit 64 in India). If slightly higher budget - DF54. If you want a one and done kind of purchase, DF64 Gen 2 is the one to go for.

Need espresso grinder recommendations under [$500] for a small coffee shop (clumping issues with my current one!)
Full agree with some of the earlier posts here. For a commercial setting under $500, you're honestly in a tough spot because most reliable commercial grinders start around $800+. That said, the DF64 Gen 2 or DF83 (~$400-500) can handle light commercial volume if you're doing maybe 50-100 shots a day
