Should I invest in a better bag for day hikes?
I got me a 20l Deuter speed lite pro in black this year. It’s the best bag I ever carried. Idk if it relieves back pain but very well designed and executed, esp the pockets. I LOVE the shoulder and hip pockets and the tilted water bottle pocket so I rarely need to take the bag off. To note, I cross

All Sport Backpack good for hiking?
I find that oddly for a brand that mainly caters to women, Lululemon has quite wideset straps on the backpacks! Also the lack of waistbelt is a big problem, especially given the sloppy fit. I have one for travel (and I normally do a lot of hiking on my travels) and it's pretty much been fired and de

Deuter Speedlite Pro 23 SL vs. Osprey Sirrus 24?
Well, I use the Deuter Speed Lite Pro 30L and like it a lot. I went from a much more structured Deuter backpack to the lighter Speed Lite as I wanted to reduce carrying weight, and also wondered if the much thinner hip straps would be up to it. I used it on two caminos last year and found it very co

Buying my first decent daypack/backpack.
DEUTER Speed Lite Pro might be similar to what you are looking for. I would recommend trying them out in a shop, as it comes it two different back lengths - male and female.

Best backpack for day hikes: Osprey Sportlite 25 or Deuter Speed Lite Pro 25?
The real deal-breaker between these two isn't actually the weight—it is the torso length and "barreling." The Osprey Sportlite 25 is a fixed-length pack, so if your torso doesn't perfectly match their template, the weight will sit entirely on your shoulders by mile six. The Deuter Speed Lite Pro 25

day pack with exceptional hip belt?
Any of the Osprey or Gregory or Deuter packs with an internal frame in the 28-ish L size should be great at transferring weight to your hips. Go to an outfitter and try some on with weight to see what fits your body best. If a full internal frame is too bulky or rigid for you, look into the Deuter s

Any small, affordable hiking backpack?
Take a look at Deuter packs, perhaps the Deuter Trail 25 (right at $100 on REI). I have the Deuter Speed Lite Pro 25 and it is the finest daypack I've ever owned. It's a little pricier at $130. Both are zippered top loaders, with multiple interior pockets, somewhat stretchable sidepockets, and as la

Beginner Advice Requested: Budget Backpacks
Take a look at the Deuter Speed Lite Pro 25L pack. Perfect for long day hikes. I have one and it's the best day pack I've ever owned. Light, comfortable, extremely durable, nice design, plenty of pockets, and $130.

Looking for a day pack that can function for running as well
I use the Deuter speedlite pro 19L this way. Its straps are modeled after a running vest, and it holds pretty snugly for running, especially with the waist belt. Sounds like exactly what you’re looking for. https://www.deuter.com/us-en/speed-lite-pro-19/4046051170183
