Klein sells a really cool 27 in one driver that has the bits needed. You can get them at Lowe’s or Home Depot or electrical supply stores that sell Klein. MacBooks last so long. It’s uncommon to need to replace something. If it happens, I just find parts on eBay or something. I have one from 2009 th

I would try to disconnect the bakup battery also, but that has a very small and fiddly connector.(It's a rechargeable coin cell with a cable. Bl**dy crap) Done that procedure on way too many DELLs. Also, as this is a Precision, I'd remove the heat sink and reapply the thermal paste. The 7550/7750 an

The built-in KVM switch is not working correctly and smoothly. Using external KVM switch setup instead. What's the model number of the "Dell BOX" or docking station ? Dell made many different models of docking station. However, only just a few models can work smoothly with KVM switch setup. The Dell

Best gaming laptop with the best RTX gpu you can find in your budget. I'm a professional motion designer/3D artist/video artist working on a AAA company and I'm using Dell 7760 laptop with RTX 3080 GPU at work, this laptop is 3 years old (will get replaced soon) but everything still works with no hi

Precision come in a lot of flavors, mine is a 7760 with an i7 and 64gb of DDR 4 ram stock its a pretty solid machine. My other Dell is a latitude 55somethig or other and a decent machine as well Really the business class machines from dell are often rock solid and if you do have an issue it is simpl

I have replaced the same jack on quite a few Dell 7760 mainboards. It is fairly straightforward, but there are some tricks if you are savvy with multi-layer board desoldering / soldering, it can be achieved. The first and most important thing is since this is a consumer board, it has to be baked abo

Don't apologize for being confused. Even you learned something and that's my whole point. People that think they are informed can even mess up because of how convoluted everything is. Now you are throwing another Thinkpad model at me? I have to research P51, P53 and P73 now? What should I expect to

Thank you again for being the only person that is replying. Maybe it's just because you are the most knowledgeable. I thought I mentioned some of the games I wanted to play before but with all of the numbers and stuff it might have gotten lost. I'm looking to play Fallout 1 and 2, The Orange box, mo

What screen does the Dell have? Personally, I would buy the 7760. I have a 7750 and it is a very nicely built computer, the hinges are giant, the cooling is amazing (it can handle a full GPU and CPU load with no throttling or loss of wattage). It also has a full metal frame, and 4 NVME slots if you

The 7750 doesn't have a touchscreen option AFAIK. I have 4x16gb sticks in my 7750. Also, you can do a GPU upgrade if you decide you ever need it, the Quadro RXT 4000 or 5000 would be a drop in replacement. For adding a fingerprint, I would contact Dell parts people (as in the company, not Dell suppo
