Klein sells a really cool 27 in one driver that has the bits needed. You can get them at Lowe’s or Home Depot or electrical supply stores that sell Klein. MacBooks last so long. It’s uncommon to need to replace something. If it happens, I just find parts on eBay or something. I have one from 2009 th

What to do with a dead Precision 7540
I would try to disconnect the bakup battery also, but that has a very small and fiddly connector.(It's a rechargeable coin cell with a cable. Bl**dy crap) Done that procedure on way too many DELLs. Also, as this is a Precision, I'd remove the heat sink and reapply the thermal paste. The 7550/7750 an

Precision 7540: Charging via Thunderbolt
You should be able to safely plug a 65W USB‑C charger into your Precision 7540 for a short time, but it’s well below the 130W+ the system is designed for, so expect heavy performance throttling and possibly very slow or no charging under load. It would be recommended to use it only to maintain or sl

Dell Pro Max 16 First Impressions
Secondly, I know it sounds trivial, but man, the numpad, just no. The number of typos incurred while testing out the unit was ridiculous. The larger than necessary numpad offsets the keys you use all the time to the left, and, probably even worse, the keys are smaller. Yeah, the offset keyboard kill

Glad I held off on the big scanner and went with the Ferret
I tried Metro Y Pro on my Dell Precision 7750 workstation (i7-10875H, 128GB RAM, QUADRO RTX4000 /Turing/). In laser mode I get 58fps in feature based tracking - 15fps. I hoped for a better performance, but I knew that I'm under the recommended minimum. Very bad optimisation though. I wonder if it wi

Putting an HDMI port back on the Macbook Pro was powerfully stupid
Yes. Apple could also add more than one thunderbolt controllers to the set bandwidth like most Windows laptops (and thunderbolt Macbooks did), but it seemed like a logical product differentiator for Apple. I personally would rather have more ports that share the same bandwidth for the added options,

Alienware r17 turns on but doesn’t display an image
Yeah all the nice rubberized stuff came off and made mine all sticky so I plastidipped it to make it look kinda borderlands-ish. My 17X r2 looks brand new, but I replaced the palm rest a few years ago. I tripped on the cables and sent it flying. Had to replace the whole housing. I don’t really use e

Precision 7750 with i7 10875H, can I use ECC memory?
That's kinda what I thought. It's just strange that the official memory support page doesn't specify that.
