I second this. I'm in IT and I buy all my laptops from here. When buying refurbished, always go with a business grade model. They're built better than consumer grade. I buy Dells, so go with a Latitude or Precision (sorry, I don't know much about HPs or Lenovos). I just bought a bunch of 3 year old

Look at Lenovo yoga. Small, light, reasonably powerful. The graphics isn’t as good, but good enough. I’ve had one at work for a travel computer and can do cad on it. Microsoft surface isn’t horrible either. I’m a ME, and use a dell precision 7560 daily. Catia, MRP software development (api’s, custom

I have a couple. I refuse to pay $5k for new when I can get a 3 yr old for $1.5k. There is almost no performance difference. I also have a couple dell precision 7560’s. They are nice, but have had some issues with cooling.

Mine can handle almost anything I throw at it in Pro. If you’re doing deep learning make sure you have a nice GPU as processing off the CPU will not be sufficient. Without DL you really won’t need a gpu though. Dell precision 7560 workstation 64 GB RAM i7-11800H 2.30GHz CPU If you really need to loc

Used or refurb Dell precision, thinkpad p series, or hp zbook series. These are the best laptops for graphical intensive work applications. Precision 7560 is around $600 and is a decent machine.
