Best (non Mac) laptop for design
My company provided computer is a Dell Precision 5560. I’ve had it for going on 5 years and it still works great. For reference I use Figma, Ae, Ps the most.

Laptop recommandation
You did not state a budget. Everyone likes affordability. I am going to make a few suggestions. For cost savings, search eBay (maybe you find it for less via Open Box on Amazon or Best Buy) for the following: Keywords: Open box, unused stock, new-old stock. There are laptops from sellers that have p

I’m thinking about buying a used Dell Precision 5560 for around $700, and before I make the decision I wanted to hear some opinions from people who’ve owned or used it for a while
I can tell little bit about Precision laptop. Not really about 5560, but for one gen older and one gen newer. Before I start, I'd recommend you to buy with 12th gen CPU. I believe should be very close or same price what you want to pay for 5560. And here will be partly my answer on your question and

Laptop for Mechanical Engineering Student, Sub $2000
Dell Precisions are great for engineering (coming from an Engineer). They will easily last 5 years of uni and perform great the entire way. Take a look at the Dell Outlet Store to get the best deal. The better question is what the university recommends for hardware? This is a good option This is a g

Dell Precision 5570 or 7560 better for SolidWorks?
Well, I rolled the dice and placed an order from that dellrefurbished.com website. Went with a 5560 which seemed to have similar specs to that 7560, but had double the RAM and was the same price. I had one of these for my work machine a couple years ago, but with half the RAM...seemed fine. Fingers

If you're in the US, you may be able to beat that price on Dell's own refurbished site (lease returns, not Outlet.) Seams reasonable, but not an amazing deal. https://www.dellrefurbished.com/?type=&page=category&action=&id=store-ws-mobile&mode=&search_query=&category=&model_f%5B%5D=Precision+5560&thum

Exclusive: Dell set to revive XPS laptops at CES 2026
people always dog on dell for their issues, but i bought a second hand precision 5560 (glorified xps 15) (i9/32) for less than 400, used the warranty that was on the laptop, and got an essentially brand new laptop. bought it as a sophomore (august 2023), now in my final sem of uni, and that laptop s
