New Surface Prices No Longer Competitive
I was recently trying to find an equivalent to an Intel Surface Pro. The Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable and the Lenovo ThinkPad X12 detachable are the closest, however both are the same price or more and neither are as good of a form factor.

Linux on a Surface Laptop Studio
Dell Latitude 7350 detachable should be a good alternative to the Surfaces for Linux users. On my side, I'm running fedora 42 on my Dell Latitude 7210 detachable and it works like a charm

What’s the best tablet I can get for Linux? (x86 or ARM)
So what’s the best tablet I can get for Linux? Have you given any thought to "detachable" Linux-compatible Windows laptops like the Dell Latitude 7350? The 7350 is Ubuntu-certified so Mint will run, of course. I mention the 7350 because I am personally familiar, but other "detachable" Windows laptop

CalDigit TS3 lots of Thunderbolt (?) challenges
This is great thank you! As far as the KVM and dock stuff goes I've kind of had mixed results depending on the host. In summary it's something like this: Old Work Laptop (Dell Latitude 7350 TB3 5+ years old) - very wonky lots of issues with sticky keys Various client Laptops (HP/Dell TB3/TB4 general

Damaged mainboard after 15 months — I really cannot recommend Framework to others anymore (Framework 13 Ultra Series 1)
My Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable lost its cheese shortly after I started using it. Dell sent out a tech to my house to replace the main board. Then another problem started (he was a bit sloppy with his work — I watched him out of curiosity). Then Dell had me send in the unit to their repair center —

Hot take: Touchscreen laptops are kinda pointless
100% disagree with OP. I have a Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable that I use in both tablet mode and noteboook mode (with keyboard attached). For the latter setup I am often just using the touch screen to dismiss buttons, move windows, scroll, etc. because it’s just second nature.

What is your school computer?
I bought a Dell Latitude 7350 detachable on my grant. It is small and goes to conferences with me very easily.

Surface Pro 11 vs iPad Pro M4, From an Apple Guy Trying Hard to Switch
I've owned two iPads: the original Air and the M1 Pro. That last one was fully spec'd and cost me well north of $2000 at the time. The hope was that Apple would release macOS for such a capable and expensive iPad but we know how that went. I swore I'd never get an iPad again at that point: totally u
