I does help a little bit. I played Sniper Elite Resistance for 3 hours straight on Ultra without the cooling pad the cpu temperature never went over 94c. I spent $3k on a laptop and ended up haveing to spend an additional $9k to get my CPU when I could have just upgraded a graphics card. get a 5090, but for God's sake make sure is has at least 64Gb Ram and spring for 4tb of storage. I play Cyberpunk on my Alienware 18 Area 51 and my temperatures don’t go over 100C in this game. I think my IETS GT 500 laptop cooling pad helps a little bit to bring the temperatures down.
