Someone wants to sell this machine for $100. Worth it??
Brevilles are not designed for easy DIY servicing. The fact that nothing happened when the knob on the right side was turned isn't a good sign. If you could get it for free it might be a fun project, but there is a substantial risk that your $100 could go down the drain. See if you can find a used D

Can the De'Longhi Stilosa actually make good coffee?
Can the De'Longhi Stilosa actually make consistently good coffee Ask Lance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArLUQWBguhM He claims it makes espresso as good as his $4000 Linea Micra. How skilled are you at dialing in? Do you know what adjustments to make to compensate for different tastes? The EAF gu

Look what you guys made me do
If your shots are sour then you're not running a long enough ratio. If you're doing a 1:2, then try extending that to a 1:2.5. But, if you're generally running ratios 1:2.5 or larger then you probably are dealing with a roast on the lighter side of things. IMS Flat/Convex baskets tend to do better w

Hibrew H10B or De’longhi Dedica [150€]
Very confused. Your picture has a Dedica, yet your text has the number for the Linea, not sure on the Linea but the Dedica is made in DeLonghi's own China factory (think all their small machines are). Dedica is a good machine, would avoid the Linea although have no experience but it looks 'odd' (see

What Machine Should I Buy As A Beginner? [$100]
Get a 51mm or 54mm machine. Much easier to dial in coffee. (and ultimately better in my opinion) I recommend Hibrew H10B, I haven't found a better 51mm machine (in my opinion it is better than De'Longhi Dedica, Stilosa or Casabrews CM5418)

IMS 51mm Basket gets stuck on shower screen [Delonghi Stilosa]
You need a new portafiter (and with a retention spring that fits the IMS basket. But most of the ones that come with new aftermarket portafilters should work fine with IMS). The stock De'longhi Stilosa portafilters/baskets are weird and uses a tab on the basket that sits into a hole cutout on the po

Espresso machine spewing water at the end of the shot [DeLonghi Linea Classic]
I checked your profile to see what machine you're using. Be careful with that with the Stilosa/ECP. It's easy to wear down the plastic inserts in the filter holder support doing this with the Stilosa/ECP because these pieces will wear down before the hard rubber gasket compresses to allow you to rot

Compact/small espresso machine [$180~]
The De'longhi ECP is the correct answer if he's already into specialty coffee. Having a: quick heat up time with a stainless steel boiler, heated grouphead, good steam pressure with multi-hole steam tips available (with also a very fast heat up for steam ~10 seconds until steam ready after pulling a

Buying Recs Beginner [400$]
I recommend the DeLonghi ECP series, it's like a Stilosa on steroids - a bigger boiler, a tiny bit better materials used, better ranked by Lance Hedrick and Tom's Coffee Corner, ...As for the grinder, I recommend a KinGrinder K4 or K6.For the other accessories - an unpressurized basket, a better tam
