What is a "small luxury" you treat yourself to that is worth every penny?
I bought the De’Longhi Eletta Explore machine, it’s expensive but it does nearly everything you want (hot, iced, etc.) and it cut out hitting a coffee shop in the morning and wasting $6-$7 for a coffee daily. Totally paid itself off, totally worth it.

De’Longhi automatic coffee machines – which model to choose?

Why is Breville support so bad?
I ended up with DeLonghi Eletta Explore. Simpler, easier, a lot more reliable, one at home (replacing the Oracle Touch) and two in the office. The ones at work haven’t missed a beat through heavy use, about 2 kg a week.

After 6 years of espresso, I’m throwing in the towel. The toddlers won... for now.
You could get an automatic machine if you're desperate. My wife didn't like fussing with her espresso so she has the DeLonghi eletta explore, which just makes everything for you. It's less fun to use if you enjoy the little tweaks but it makes pretty decent lattes.
