Newbie Here ... friend selling his son's CR-10 for less than $100 .. worth it or should I skip to a newer printer?
I don't think anyone can answer this one for you. You need to ask yourself why you want to start printing. There are pros and cons to consider. Putting a CR-10 against any of these is like Putting a 1995 Honda Civic against a 2025 Tesla. I learned printing on ender 3s and cr10s.. Compared to the new

Dreadnought class! Sadly it took two AMT model kits to make a Dreadnought class ship. Also a lot of putty and glue. I read the book back in the day and always wanted one. It’s apparently Beta Cannon-ish.
I mean, they can always be scaled and printed in pieces like a regular model kit. As for the printer, I’d recommend the Creality K1 Max or K2 Plus if you want to print larger objects in one shot. Otherwise the Bambu P1S or P2S will do a great job (P2S combo is great for multi-color prints)

[ST] I 3D printed a working Spirit Train [OC]
I use a Creality k2 plus for most prints but there are plenty of cheaper printers that will do basic plastics in color. I recommend the Bambu lab A1 mini if you want to get into multicolor printing cheap. Shoot me a DM if you have more questions!

New K2 or not?
Depends on the model you are looking at for both, the unicorn hot end is standard in the k2, linear rails, (possibly lidar for automatic pressure advance), Ai camera, integrated support for the CMS systems, some other improvements. I have the standard K1 (2023 release) as well as the k2 plus so I ca

My K1C has been serving well so I gave her a CFS-C
I've been eyeing the CFS-C for a while now, and haven't heard a ton of feedback. I have a hi, a K2, and a k2 plus, and finding i want to do more multi material prints, so thinking of upgrading one of my K1s. Unfortunately, I feel like color changed are slow on anything without more then one toolhead

Asking for advice for a new printer
I was on the same boat with you at one point. I started the hobby with a used MK3S+. I currently have a Creality K2 Pro and a Bambu Lab A1 which replaced my MK3S+. The A1 definitely has the better multi colour capabilities with the simplicities of the AMS Lite. I'd imagine the more expensive AMS wil

Which 3D printer brands/models does your company use and why?
We just got the Creality K2 plus, which worked so well we got a regular K2. The K2 plus was 1000 and the regular k2 around 500. Both have the filament holders that hold 4 roles at a time. The filament is 15-19 depending on when you buy it. They both work SO well. I have almost no complaints. It put
