Do you still consider prusa printers to be competitive in today's market
Everyone saying the sky is falling here is wrong. Prusa isn’t failing, and Bambu definitely isn’t. You have companies like Qidi shipping units that are literally broken, having customers as beta testers. Creality has an insane amount of printers that are all basically the same thing before support i

Can I turn off the cutesy messages?
Oh good. That way you can walk up to a Creality K2 Plus and it'll greet you with failed prints instead.

Got a printer for cheap from a garage sale, any advice to start using it? It powers on at least
I've bought 6 different 3d printers in the last 18 months with the Creality K2 plus being the absolute worst and expensive for what it was (thankfully I sold it). My elegoo cc1 was a better all around printer than that hunk of junk.

Seeking advice: Budget Enclosed CoreXY vs. Modding SV06 Plus vs. High-end K2 Plus
K2 Plus is horrible and it doesn't seem like you need the large bed or multicolor system. For your use case go high quality with a smaller bed and your premiums to look at are the Bambu X2D, heated chamber, reliable, appliance like, second nozzle can be for support material and could always add an A

Developer re-enables 3D printer features that Bambu Lab disabled, firm promptly threatens legal action — OrcaSlicer-BambuLab project now shuttered
I have been…tempted by Sovols since I’ve heard they’re based on Vorons but they’re one of the brands that my friends have had issues with. One of them bought an SV08 for large format prints and sank a ton of money into it trying to get it to bed level correctly and it just could NOT get a print off

Looking into the K2 Plus as an upgrade from a Neptune 4 Pro how has it been for long term use
It's leagues beyond your old Neptune but it's definitely on the "fiddle with it" side of the reliability curve for modern printers. Have a look at the Creality and K2 Plus subreddits to see what I mean. Taco beds, broken extruders, etc. I returned mine after a few weeks of wildly inconsistent first

Have over 20 machines identical to the one pictured and I have not had a single problem from any of them. They essentially run 24/7 and have accumulated ~32,000 collective hours of use. I also have 30 (down from 45) Creality K2 Plus machines with CFS. I had trouble with 45/45 Creality machines by th

creality k2 or bamboo x2d
Bite the bullet. I have the K2 Plus and two X1Cs. The amount of time and parts and tweaking on the Creality has cost me at least 5x the initial upfront cost. Few nozzlez I wanted to upgrade and one extruder motor but that's been it. As my previous comments, keep in mind Bambu didn't want to provide

Has anyone bought hotends of of AliExpress? If so, which ones and how are they?
I bought a handful for my Creality K2 plus - it was honestly hit and miss. The last lot were bad enough that I decided I wouldn't only buy from manufacturer websites ... So many headaches from shops claiming to be 'official'. Now I have spares for my U1's from Snapmaker

Starter printer
I currently own 3 Creality machines and honestly I’ve had a very good experience overall. My Ender 3 V3 KE has been running without a single real issue since day one, and my Spark i7 has also been extremely reliable so far — basically unboxed it and just started printing. The only machine that gave
