Hey, new cosplayer here too. Everyone's budget is different but if you are thinking of cosplay, a 3d printer is a must. Don't go ultra cheap and consider the size before buying. These days I would recommend: Bambu P2S (or P1S if initial budget is a concern) I don't like Bambulab as a company, but th

Awesome, glad you got up and going. not the easiest assembly. My next bit of advice would be if you're using Cura. There is no profile for a Ender 5 Max. Do not take the advice I did and use an Ender 5 and change the bed size manually. I did this and the first print led to the nozzle burying itself

If you're a beginner I wouldn't recommend resin because it can be harmful to your health without proper PPE and you'll need multiple machines to dry and cure the models. Although if you're adamant on super detailed models like miniatures for Warhammer for example, resin is the way. FDM on the other

There's this chick who's been printing life size 40k stuff. I think half a part of Horus was 10kg of filament. You can choose any color really, get whats cheapest and print pieces since you'll be sanding and painting them. For a printer either look at Creality or Bambu labs. Find one with the bigges

(Edit, I have a Creality Ender-5 Max and a snapmaker u1, the E5M had the bed warping issues, but I've done a lot of the same things on both of them with great success) I have solved a lot of my (lack of)sticking issues a couple of ways. This was with ASA, but has improved my printing across the boar

I currently have two Creality machines (K1 Max, Ender-5 Max). They both work well now, but they did require some modification to overcome design flaws.

That sounds more like a profile or slicer setting issue than the printer itself. The Creality Ender 5 Max is usually capable of much more balanced speeds. I’d double check wall speed and minimum layer time settings. Creality machines tend to perform really well once the profile is set correctly.

I had a similar problem with the Ender 5 Max. Creality replaced everything I showed was damaged with no issues. I have had a couple of other issues that seem to have a common cause on the printer. I think the unit vibrates so much that screws get loose and eventually come out. So far I have reinstal

I am a creality fan person. I have 6 of their printers. 2 HIs, 2 k2 pluses, and 2 ender 5 maxes. I enjoy their printers.
