Best Value Air Purifier? (Coway, Winix, Blueair, Shark, Sans, etc)
Please read the AutoModerator comment. Air purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust as it's larger and heavier than "invisible" pollutants like PM10 and PM2.5. The same goes for pet hair. Sans is terrible. Shark is mediocre. Avoid both. Coway is generally one of the highest quality consumer-gr

aesthetic/stylish air purifier with high CADR / efficacy recommendations
Per the AHAM 2/3 rule, a 732 sq. ft. apartment would need minimum CADRs of 488 CFM. The most stylish is probably the IQAir Atem X. It's made in Germany. But it has a top Smoke CADR of 415 CFM. It's also very expensive at $1,399.99. The Coway Airmega ProX has a top Smoke CADR of 568 CFM. It has wheel

Best air purifier money can buy?
See the AutoModerator comment. Air purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust or pet hair as both are large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our other subreddit resources on dust: I need an air purifier for dust. What sh

Severe allergies, 1230 sq condo. Need some help
So unfortunately cigarette or marijuana smoke isn't just particulates, but also gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. You need many pounds of activated carbon and/or other sorbent media for gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. Heavyweight sorbent media purifiers are very loud, very expensive (~$600 and up), and clean the ai

Deciding on which levoit model as a pet owner
Purifiers aren't good at reducing pet hair, if that's a benefit you're after. It's very large and heavy compared to microscopic pollutants like PM2.5. Only hair floating very close to a purifier's intake(s) will be captured. The two Levoit Vital models are definitely better than their Core series. T

Looking For A Genuine Top-Tier Air Purifier For 3 Rooms Of My Apartment
Housefresh.com's reviews are useful, because they measure sound and CADR using a consistent methodology, allowing you to compare among units. They've tested the three you mention. I'd suggest making a table of CADR and noise at each fan speed from their reviews. That's what I did. Based on a quick l

Rabbit air vs blue air vs Coway
With that budget the best option would be a Coway ProX as it's around $650 at the moment in beige. https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-prox Just the filter replacement costs are still high, but for particulates you probably only need to change every 2 years. The Coway ProX is better than the Cowa

In need of advice.
Also, if you have the resources, invest in a good air purifier. The one is a Coway airmega Prox. It is a true HEPA with carbon for odors and it’s massive to move a lot of air. But ya talk to the neighbors, don’t be confrontational, just say what you said here. Toke up, but we got a baby and are asth

Which air purifier is the quietest at level I (not sleep mode) for ~380 sqft family/home theater room?
Yup, I found the same thing with my Winix 5510: it's only non-intrusive on night mode, which only gives 56 CFM. At 380 ft^2, and assuming 8' ceilings, you need 253 CFM to give you 5 ACH. There's no single air purifier that delivers that quietly (the Smart Air Blast Mini Provides 272 CFM on speed 1,

Higher quality splurge for wildfire smoke
Just an FYI: many purifiers are good at removing particulates or gases/vapors/odors/VOCs, but not both. Wildfires often produce high concentrations of gases which require many pounds of activated carbon or other sorbent media. Chemically untreated sorbents do not have high removal capacities for all
