Best air purifier money can buy?

See the AutoModerator comment. Air purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust or pet hair as both are large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our other subreddit resources on dust: I need an air purifier for dust. What sh

Air purifier for 1200 sq Ft apartment

See the AutoModerator comment. Purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust particles as they're large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. An even stronger argument could be made for dog hair. If you don't have one already, I'd get a good quality bagged vacuum cleaner with a H

Air purifier recommendation for open living room

Assuming you haven't picked something out already... The Medify Air MA-112 (V2.0) is powerful, but loud on the top airflow speed/setting. Per the AHAM 2/3 rule, a 1,872 sq. ft. space would need minimum CADRs of 1,248 CFM. So any one consumer-grade purifier will fall short. I would go with the Coway

One Purifier or Two for my 670 sq. ft. area

There's no app for the Coway Airmega ProX, so you'll have to use buttons on the purifier. Yes, it can be run continuously on the same speed. (Manual speed choices are speeds 1, 2, and 3.) There's also a "Turbo Mode". According to the ProX owner's manual: "Turbo mode accelerates the air purification

Air purifier for large room

Coverage ratings are included, but I would weigh Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) first and foremost. Avoid UV light treatments on (almost all) consumer-grade air purifiers. Per the AHAM 2/3 rule, minimum CADRs for a 700 sq. ft. room (with an 8 ft. high ceiling) should be 467 CFM. However, having al

Anybody experienced with this purifiers? Are they good?

For your living room and bedrooms, what are the dimensions? This would be length x width x height. Room volume is needed to calculate proper particulate Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). Does anyone have allergies or is there a chance of wildfire smoke in your area? There are other circumstances whe

Allergic to dust/dust mites and dander: are these good options?

With dust mite allergens, you can try reducing relative humidity (RH) below 50% for a prolonged period. (Another study recommended RH of 45% or lower if I recall correctly.) This should kill them off. For the bedroom: of the two, I would tend to choose the Coway Airmega 350. You'll definitely need t

Quietness to fight pet dander

Purifiers will do very little for pet hair unfortunately. It's very large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5 and PM0.1. They can help with dog dander. I'm not a fan of Rabbit Air as their purifiers have low Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) and big price tags. The Rabbit Air A3 i

IQAir Multigas Lackluster Performance on NO2

Nice! Other studies have shown formaldehyde doesn't have good adsorption onto carbon, so it's interesting that here it's nearly as effective for formaldehyde as it is for a simple alkane (n-heptane). That's probably because Oransi's carbon has been modified with potassium permanganate, which is know

Air purifier for hospice patient

Please see the AutoModerator comment. Purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust particles as they're large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5.
