Good indoor air purifier for dealing with the wildfire smoke?

Yeah, wildfire smoke is rough. The main thing is True HEPA - that's what actually catches the tiny smoke particles. I've been using the Levoit Vital 200S-P. It's got a smoke CADR of 250, auto mode, and sleep mode is super quiet (24dB). Around $180. Coway AP-1512HH is also a classic - people have bee

I dread dust

Coway makes excellent air purifiers around $160. They're small and will radically reduce dust, though it may take several weeks.

Any recommendations for air purifiers? Ignore the mess, I’m currently in the middle of a deep clean in my room.

I literally just got a new air purifier after doing an absurd amount of research, and the amount of information can be a bit overwhelming, especially when trying to find something bird-safe. So I'm hoping some of my research can help you avoid the amount of digging I had to do haha. I just got a Hon

Help me find a good option!!

Definitely avoid the PuroAir pictured here. It's astroturfed to death, not high quality, and the company tried suing a legitimate review website for an unfavorable review. I wouldn't buy the Dyson recommended by someone else either. Dyson is known for glossy marketing and poor performance for many o

Best Value Air Purifier? (Coway, Winix, Blueair, Shark, Sans, etc)

Just wanted to say your comments are so educational! I wish I had found this sub before purchasing my air purifiers but I did end up getting the Coway airmega 400 for my living room, coway 160 for my sons bedroom and have a few Costco winix in the other rooms. The coway sees to pick up much more dus

Air purifier for bedrooms?

Per the AHAM 2/3 rule listed in the AutoModerator comment (and elsewhere in the subreddit wiki), a 200 sq. ft. room would need bare minimum CADRs of 134 CFM. A 400 sq. ft. room would need absolute minimum CADRs of 267 CFM. These calculations assume an 8 ft. ceiling. Higher CADRs may be needed for va

Setup for 1400sqft apartment

We need to calculate room volume since your ceilings are higher than 8 feet. This is covered under the "CADR Particulate Types and Sizing" heading in our How To Choose An Air Purifier for Particulates [Comprehensive Guide]. Bedroom: 160 sq. ft. × 10 = 1,600 cubic feet volume. 1,600 cu. ft. ÷ 8 ft. =

Need Help Purchasing an Air Purifier for a 12x10 Bedroom

To start, apply the AHAM 2/3 rule described in the AutoMod comment. Since your ceilings are slightly higher, we have to calculate by room volume to get a "readjusted" coverage rating. 1,040.4 cu. ft. ÷ 8 ft. = 130.05 sq. ft. 130.05 sq. ft. ÷ 1.5 = 86.7. Round up to get bare minimum CADRs of 87 CFM.
