I just discovered the Clinique high impact mascara via a free travel sample and omg I didn't realize what I was missing it's so good. I always have to wear waterproof because my lashes are very long and smudge easy, but this one isn't even "waterproof" and doesn't smudge at all but washes off easier

You should try tubing mascara , they are easy to remove , just require some warm water and it will come off. The ones I've used and love are : Staze Tubing Mascara , Elf Lash Xtender Mascara and the Clinique High impact mascara.

Once I ugly-sobbed in a DMV parking lot, full-on breakdown in the car, while wearing clinique high impact mascara and it didn't budge. It stays on so well that it's kind of annoying to get off, honestly.
