That’s how I feel about buying dark berry lipsticks. They’re usually some form of pink when I’m wanting more of a burgundy. The exception would be Clinique’s Black Honey, but it’s meant to be subtle.

I don't really think this look is doing a lot for you. I would soften the brows - either less dark or less thick - and brush them up and out. Yeah, that’s what I had to do. I was new to wearing any lip color and even the Clinique almost lipstick in black honey was jarring. I look back and I have a chuckle but I’m happy wearing lipstick now. Well, more lipstain with gloss/balm over ᵕ̈

Clean girl look but with a moody darker lipstick (NOT mat), and tight-lined eyes (in the waterline). Blush on the apple of the cheek instead of sideburns. I didn’t get the Lancôme Lip Idole either. They subbed it with another Clinique black honey. Black honey always turns bright purple on me so I’ll donate them to the women’s shelter. At least they made some effort to sub instead of just leaving it out like usual.

It's extra confusing to me too, because I still see "real" lipstick everywhere - Sephora, Walgreens, Target, Ulta, etc. In my experience if there's a cosmetics section, there's going to be a lot of lipstick in it. Yes, there are all those other products now too, and I'll admit my one lipstick-relate

Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick I know it's overpriced and there is barely any product in the tube. But for me it's undupeable (I've tried) and goes with any and every look, even if the look is just sunblock and lippie.
