Any good? [$119] Neretva Espresso Machine 20 Bar, Super Compact Espresso Maker

20 bar which I’ve read is much better quality This is totally false. The best espresso is brewed at around 9 bar. Better quality machines use an over-pressure valve to limit the maximum pressure to 9 bar. Cheap machines like this omit the over-pressure valve and blast the coffee with full pump press

New portafilter vs. machine upgrade [USD 300]

This machine looks like the white-label/chinese stuff you'll see sold as Casabrews in the US, Oster in LATAM and other markets. If that's the case, it's not necessarily bad but you can certainly get better machines like a Delonghi Dedica or a Breville Bambino for 300 USD. The question is, if you're

Sometimes a better machine is the answer!

You realllllllly think that all those machines that cost 1500+ are just as good as your little casabrews or delonghi? It's not about justifying the purchase, THOSE MACHINES ARE ACTUALLY BETTER! The temp is more consistent, the pump works better and for longer, the whole experience is better, more in

Espresso set up budget [250]

Do you need a milk steamer? If not, consider a manual level such as Flair. It will make better espresso than semi-auto machines costing much more. Consider DeLonghi Stilosa or ECP series instead of CM5418. They are more mainstream machines than Casabrews, so aftermarket accessories and online advice

Is this a good espresso machine? [$200cad]

Honestly never heard of Casabrews but for $200 CAD you're gonna be in entry-level territory anyway. Might wanna check out the Delonghi Dedica or save up a bit more for a Gaggia Classic if you're serious about espresso - those have way better community support and mod potential

Compact/small espresso machine [$180~]

If you brother wants to drink straight espresso without milk, consider a fully manual machine such as Flair Classic. It will make better espresso than machines costing hundreds more. Otherwise DeLonghi is much preferred to Casabrews. DeLonghi is a much more mainstream brand, so aftermarket accessori

Need help finding portafilter and puck screen size

The automatic milk frother on the Bella Pro may be an ease-of-use improvement (at least until you have to clean it), but your 5418 is a better quality espresso machine with much greater availability of aftermarket parts. You might want to consider returning the Bella Pro and getting more stuff to us

Amazon Basics Flat Burr

I’m glad you’re standing firm on the “Listen is it at least good enough in comparison to my hand grinder or is it a waste of my money comepletely?” I have no idea what the answer is but I’d also love to know I have friends that wanna do espresso but feel priced out and one of my closest friends actu

Esto Profi COM 002: Does anyone know anything about it?

How's the espresso? Meh. Better than a Krups with its pressurized basket but not as good as a serious single boiler like a Silvia (much less a prosumer HX). Truthfully, the little $99 Casabrews I just bought as a backup while my LaCora is in the shop makes better espresso.

Slim Espresso Maker [$300]

I had the casabrews one for about a year before it broke. They were nice enough to ship me another one for free, but that also broke down for the same reason eventually (something about steam valve gasket). The casabrews makes decent espresso, but won't last very long. In addition, the steamer isn't
