AITA For filing a police report on a good friend who was caught on video stealing my boyfriend's camera at a dinner? She has refused to help me either replace it in full or contribute to the cost of replacing it.
A really odd ad campaign for Canon G7X

What, don't all the dudes in your life, who are in relationships with other dudes, know just how special the Canon G7X is to women?! It's coveted by all of the Instagram wannabes!

This looks like the canon G7x digital cam shots that give that “film” look due to flash, she thinks we know nothing 💀

buying a new phone for storage
The way most of her photos on Instagram are taken with the canon g7x…like babe you could’ve just used your $700 camera instead of buying another $1000+ phone. Defund influencers fr

How are girls achieving this look?
the canon G7X makes a huge difference and these girls have wayyy more makeup on than you think. The tiktoker Shelby Ann has made a lot of affordable tutorials for this kind of makeup look

Panasonic, Nikon quit developing low-end compact digital cameras
Phones have come such a long way in camera that it’s might bending. I am still not gonna ditch my Canon G7x Mk2 for leisurely strolls around the countryside. 1 inch sensor and the f/1.8-2.8 triumphs.

What is the most "unprofessional" camera you have used for a professional gig?
A couple years back I did a national TV ad (with a household name celebrity) during new years. Everything was approved until it wasn’t. Had to redo a shoot of the product due to the last minute switch of labeling. Shot the product in my studio with a canon G7x mark iii. It was the only camera I had

Canon is bringing back a point-and-shoot from 2016 with fewer features and a higher price | The PowerShot Elph 360 HS came out nearly 10 years ago, but it’s now getting an ‘A’ model rerelease.
I bought a g7x mark ii in 2016 for 550usd new Broke the lens cover fixed it with canon Then in 2024 sold it for 950usd used TikTok influencers thank you. As much as iPhone are amazing if you want your picture to stand out from the classic smartphone pic look. Can’t go wrong with the top go the line

Why an Osmopocket 3 instead of a smartphone and gimbal?
OP3 performs better in lowlight. Also my iPhone 13 Pro battery dies pretty quickly, I rather have a small compact device dedicated for vlogging. Also the gimbal stabilization was the main reason for me. I used to vlog with a canon g7x and when I look back at my old vlogs they were so shakey 😩

Why have cameras and lenses got so expensive? | DPreview
Computational-heavy photography cannot make light out of nothing. Larger sensors have slowed in progress due to approaching physical limitations, as modern photosites can respond with as little as a few individual photons. Naturally, small sensors are also reaching similar limitations. Hence the pus
