Why the Pocket 4K needs a V2

For what it’s worth I’m a full time videographer (not cinematographer) working closely with brands such as Amazon, Uber, Honda, Tourism Australia etc. My daily is the pocket 4K, original, with the ultra speed booster for a full frame circle and I have to say the new Nikon ZR, canon R5II etc are clos

Lumix s5m2 high res mode vs canon r5m2 45mp

"left canon, right Lumix" This is just mind blowing. To all who purchased the(I purchased S5iiX) S5ii or S5iiX, you are really smart. The feature of being able to do 96MP raw file is what closed it for me. Just use that tripod you purchased years ago, the raw files are insane in detail. I purchased

Advice wanted

Lovely set, keep doing this. Mark’s post-production relies heavily on the fact that he’s shooting Sony. There’s a TON of shadow retention in Sony sensors, and you can push them in post to a much higher degree than Canon, probably Nikon as well even though some of those bodies use Sony sensors. That’

Would you buy a future camera body with AI features?

If it's a tool for doing the same thing I always do (autofocus, auto exposure) then I don't care, if it's AI-ing on the images then I wish they'd leave it to be done in post. I think Canon's choice to add AI noise reduction and upscaling in their new cameras is pointless, but it shouldn't get in the

Should I explain to the client why the photos look bad?

Full frame gets you about a stop over APS-C, more modern sensors might get you another stop. Two stops from f/3.5 is f/1.8, and that's getting pretty shallow for event photography. Add that up, and that's four stops or so you could improve. I think six stops might be a little much there, unless you'

I no longer miss my Fuji (jpgs)

It’s 100% true compared to canon as well. I went from A7rv -> R5 II -> z9 and will never go back. Nikon images just flat out look better.

Is it worth Traveling with an action camera

As a professional photographer I encourage you just to use your phone. I work in pro football on the sidelines. The nfl social media guys and gals are using just their iPhones to record the action while I’m slogging around two camera bodies and lenses. I just returned from a photo workshop in Namibi

If the R6 line gets Clog2 shouldn’t the R5 gen 1 also get it?

Did the r6 or R6ii get it? B&H says only CLOG3 I know the R5ii and R6iii got CLog2 Ultimately the R5 sensor has such mediocre dynamic range that CLOG2 is pointless. You could argue that CLOG3 is bettter as it better fits the low DR of the sensor so will produce less banding. CineD tested exactly thi
