Stick with EF or go full RF
It’s a mixed bag. I also shoot r6mkii and R5c, so it’s been a tad more beneficial in my case. The RF equivalent lenses (L series anyway) aren’t really that much better and about the same size as their EF counterparts. They do have some rather unique lens designs not previously available in EF The fr

Switching from Canon after some frustration: Need advice and experiences!
I would say, stick to Canon. Move to R5 insted of R6. R5 is a beast. Also, I would say Canon has limited lens options but Quality is on the top. I shoot weddings and events majorly in Chennai,India. I started exploring with 70D then moved to EOS R in 2020 and got an R5c in 2023. I've 28-70 f2 and Sa

Upgrading my creative agency gear this year and looking for advice
I run 2 C70’s, an R5C, an R6II, an EOS R, and a canon AE-1 for cool film stills on productions. I agree in not getting the C80, I’d rather jump to the C400. I use a myriad of Amaran and aperture lighting. Primarily the 1200D as a key, 600D as fill/hair, nanlight pack tubes as extra accent and fills.

On the fence between these two rigs
The Black Mamba one that wraps around the grip, the metal cage digs into your (right) index finger when handholding the camera, right where it wraps the top of the grip. It's true that the other (first cage) you posted has a bar on top that kind of blocks access to some buttons but it's the more com

Would this make for a decent VR180 camera?
I have a modded Qoocam and it's pretty damn good. But I have to say I've been doing extensive testing for a review and tutorial on the R7 with the RFS lens. I take the overall look is better. It handles the blacks better and overall I like the Canon color science. I'm not as thrilled about the 144°

Wedding photographer looking to add video (Canon ecosystem?) – R6 Mark II or switching brands
there’s always tradeoffs, I prefer R5C for A-cam, or the cinema line (same for Sony equivalent), but OP is a photog w/ a canon ecosystem, R6m2 is probably a solid bet to have a more matched second body to R6 for photo that can also be used to explore video by this logic, one could argue anyone who u

Thypoch Simera-C Lenses
We have a set, but they haven't been used on the K-X's yet. Our Komodo X's have the RED PL adaptor pretty much bolted to the body 100% of the time. We have used the Simera-C's on the Canon C80, C50, and R5C though and they work well enough for what they are.

New Canon Cinema Camera (thoughts)
Maybe for someone who doesn’t already have a camera it makes sense to go with the C50, but honestly a lot of the features like open gate is limited to 7k only and been stuck with the rf system without IBIS is pretty tough sell. If you’re in the canon ecosystem and have an R5c, R5 II or anything else

Looking for a Canon video camera
Do you have a budget in mind? Do you need a hybrid or is video only ok? I like the cinema EOS bodes, so something like the c70/c200/r5c is what I'd be tempted to look at. The EF to RF adapter generally works well. You can use most other mirrorless mounts with adapters, AF may be a bit worse, but the
