AF with EF - EOS M Adapter and Sigma lens
It's 'dead' in the same way the EF system is 'dead', yet people are buying EF DSLRs left and right these days due to the cheap cost yet high quality pictures they take. The big differences between the M50 vs R7 are: The R7 is decently larger, has two SD card slots, has animal eye tracking in auto fo

Canon M6 Mark II + lenses & other stuff for 600 USD - is it a good deal?
That is a really solid deal for 600 bucks. The M6 Mark II body alone usually sells for around that price on the used market. The 28mm 1.8 is a great fast prime for low light and having the adapter means you can use cheap older lenses to experiment with. Just keep in mind that Canon completely killed

It makes sense to use a Helios / Jupiter 8 or 11 with a M43?
A SpeedBooster for anyone looking at getting into vintage lenses while also using a M43 or APSC sized sensor. I go this route with my Canon APSC camera and I’m very happy with the results. For instance a vintage Jupiter 8 50mm on my Canon M6 Mark II would end up being a 80mm due to the crop. With a

New to photography and looking into courses. What DSLR camera to buy?
Do you specifically need a DSLR camera rather than a mirrorless? Or is 'DSLR' a shorthand for 'digital camera'? If it's the latter, I agree with u/muzlee01 , a6000 with a kit lens in that sort of range would be great to get started. I'm not sure about second hand pricing in Australia (and I would de

AF with EF - EOS M Adapter and Sigma lens
Yeah. Basically the same as I said before. You just have to take into consideration the added length and weight the adapter is going to add to the lens. The Meike adapter with drop in filter I mentioned before, which I own but haven't used much yet, so I can't tell you from practical application exp

Lens reccs pretty please
Ha, for sure. I'm always happy to vomit out what camera knowledge that I have. I often tell my spouse that I'm a deep well of completely useless information, but occasionally that comes in handy. I'm a big fan of the M system, and really like my M6 MK II. I get WHY Canon ditched the EF and M camera

Apparently I decided to get back into photography at the wrong time…
I’ve got a nice M6 and lenses I bought back in the day for about $1000AUD. I love it, I’ll never sell it, but I certainly wouldn’t want to buy in these days if I didn’t have one. I’m really enjoying my Canon EOS 1N autofocus film camera at the moment, I can use all my lovely fixed EF lenses with it.

Outdoor Travel Recommendations?
for your budget.... u get older technology... DSLR cameras are inexpensive but big Canon's first generation of mirrorless cameras had some absolute winners. i use the M6 Mark II and some tiny EF-M lenses as my travel camera https://flickr.com/photos/186162491@N07/albums/72177720306430498/ go to a go
