Clamshell backpack that fits Ryanair dimensions
Cabin Zero 28l. Fits the dimensions, UK based and many colours. Sign up for their mailing list and they'll send you a discount before you buy (you can unsubscribe after you've got your bag!).

Backpack search: EU flight CarryOn 40x25x20 cm
Cabin Zero 28L. This is the only right answer. You might get away with other bags "fitting" the sizer. For me? I personally don't like it as it is too big for me. I usually travel with the Osprey Arcane Small (it's a 10L bag, too small for most one baggers, right size for me). It's 39x27x17cm, so it

My 1.6kg minimalist travel tech kit (remote office + holiday setup)
I'm fickle when it comes to bags and tried a lot ๐. The bag I come back to, but I am sick of the sight of, is an indestructible Cabin Zero Military 28l. I'd still recommend it as a great personal item bag. It doesn't look out of place as a professional laptop bag which is important to me. The bag I'

I think I have had 10 bags so far and still not sure what the ideal size for travel is.
Depends on the trip, but my little Cabin Zero 28L allows me enough outfits for at least a week. ETA: I donโt normally travel with a laptop, just an iPad. Most of my trips donโt involve multiple stops either.

Bag Finder Megathread - 04 May 2026
If you are optimising for Ryanair under-seat (24L), I'd suggest considering the Cabin Zero 28 range. The classic is 39. x 29.5 x 20 cm => 22.4L, not the 28L implied by the name. Have you sense-checked the capacity required for your packing list ? (see guidance at top of page). To me, 20L (or even 24

Mine is the old one but in the navy it has always had an embroidered logo with matching thread. The black and green had horrid shouty white labels prior to the update. It's a quality bag and it's holding up so much better than the previous one an Osprey Questa which fell apart within about 18 months

Osprey Daylight actually 22+6?
Yes, that's correct which is why people find their bag of the correct dimensions doesn't fit in the airline sizer! I'm one of those nerds who check with a tape measure. ๐คฃ The Cabin Zero bags have a front pocket covering the whole of the front with a gusset on one side (or at least my military 28L do

My beautiful NCASE M2 travel setup ready for Thanksgiving
It does not. Your best option is the Vanguard Divider bag 46 or BIB Divider S46(more sturdy but costly).Couple that with a CabinZero Classic Cabin 28L Backpack or a Cabin Max 24L Cabin Backpack - both are 40x30x20cm so both fit the underseat bag size. You'd need a ticket upgrade to take both as carr

Echoing what others said, a backpack is a better choice. You have both hands free and it sits secure on you back. Duffels are very unwieldy and impossible to run with. If you've ever had to sprint to catch a bus or train, you'll know what I'm talking about. We've gone with the CabinZero 28L, and the

What's your favorite plane bag?
I use a CabinZero Classic Tech 28L. I wanted something that would be as big as I could get away with to take as a personal item on Ryanair as that is the airline I travel most with (UK to Europe), and I wanted it to be minimalist and with not a lot of pockets. It fits well under the seat in front. I
