ESP Pro is a solid call — conical burrs, simple, and tends to handle darker/oily beans without freaking out. Also check Breville Smart Grinder Pro or used Baratza Sette if you wanna save cash; get a 54mm tamper (metal, good weight) and maybe a naked/stock portafilter upgrade for easier dosing and le

Breville Bambino Plus with either a Breville Smart Grinder Pro or DF54 Grinder. An absolute starter kit that leaves room to grow. If space is a concern, then Breville Barista Express Impress.

Breville bambino and SGP. I wouldn’t worry about the nitpickers, I have this setup and consistently outperform any of my local shops with delicious coffee every morning. The setup is solid and can be had for relatively cheap. I’m not convinced that the incremental gains beyond this setup are worth t

The Encore is not an upgrade from the Breville SGP. If your Breville SGP is still doing the job, stay with it.

Regarding the grinder, I personally think most people should just get a used grinde

Controversial opinion maybe, but the Breville Smart Grinder Pro? $300ish, and I prefer mine to the Eureka Mignon I have as well

I bought the Breville Smart Grinder Pro to have for decaf (and for French press). It's old and loud, but Breville still makes it for a reason.

Hey brother, I read that you use the Breville Dose Control Pro. I used to use the Breville Smart Grinder Pro as my daily grinder before I had the budget to upgrade. What helped me a lot with finer grinds is adjusting the inner burr. Have you done that by chance? That helps a lot. Breville grinders b
