Is Breville a good or bad place to start for a beginner? [$1000]

Breville’s great, though most people here won’t recommend a machine with a built in grinder. That one comes with a Smart Grinder Pro, which is great for most bean types specially if you’re into Italian espresso/based drinks. You could go for a Bambino Plus and spend the rest ($600ish) on a much bett

Where can I get quality ground coffee?

For drip coffee, I wouldn't get anything cheaper than the OXO conical burr grinder: https://www.amazon.ca/Brew-Conical-Burr-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B0CM9Z6HYF Edit: Wait wait this one's cheaper and also a real burr grinder! https://www.amazon.ca/Bodum-Bistro-Electric-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B0043095WW If you're

Sundays are for playing at home

For this machine, I've used a Breville SGP grinder, and it works very well with a medium/dark roast coffee at grind level 6, with a naked portafilter. But currently, I prefer to use it with a hand grinder.

Why do coffee grinders cost so much?

I put off buying a coffee grinder for so long thinking the same things. Then my wife bought me the Breville smart grinder pro for my birthday for around $200. I felt guilty at first because it’s definitely something we did not need but it’s soo worth the money if you enjoy making different types of

[General Coffee Chat] Don't snooze on the Breville Bambino Plus -- it's a beast!

Just saw your comment. Yeah, I think the general consensus is bigger and more expensive is better but thats really not the case. The Bambino and SGP as you have seen too is perfectly fine. As for why i adjusted the inside grind setting. It was because I had seen a video online which said it will let

I cannot for the life of me decide on a grinder !! [$500]

Are you in North America? If so, just buy it from Amazon under the MiiCoffee brand...Amazon returns and service are worth dealing with the empire, IMHO. Also, based on your described use case and budget/value seeking, maybe just go with the Breville Smart Grinder Pro. Definitely does pour over and c

Looking into buying a new machine as a starter

As other said, r/espresso Usually the recommendation is a breville/sage bambino, and a capable grinder. Depending on what kind of coffee you drink, anything from a breville SGP (I recommend this to absolute beginners especially if they make non-espresso coffees at home bc it can always be your gener

De’Longhi Magnifica S [around 300$] vs De’Longhi Dedica + grinder [around 380$]?

For electric grinders in that range - the Breville Dose Control Pro (also called Smart Grinder Pro depending on region) is probably the best all-rounder at around $200. It has enough fine adjustment for espresso and is dead simple to use. The Baratza Encore ESP is another solid pick around $180 - Ba

Need suggestion for grinder to pair with bambino plus [under $200]

I used a Smart Grinder Pro with my Breville Infuser for years ... and it pulled fantastic shots of light roast. You can find one used for $100 or less.

Espresso Coffee Grinder Under 200£

The Sage may not have come top, but it was featured in Hoffmann's grinders for under £250 video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7xGhGtvYIs Moreover he doesn't rate it the worst. Also you asked for grinder recommendations under £200, which the Sage falls into. That said so do some of the
