“Low effort” espresso machine that still makes decent espresso?? [$500]
Easiest semi automatic in that price range would probably be the ninja luxe cafe. It grinds, weighs the grounds for you and then has guidance to adjust your shot. All you need to do is tamp really. The easiest semi auto is probably the Breville oracle jet but that's 2k. For anything else you'd want

Help me pick an espresso setup for my wife for Christmas [$1,500–$2,000]
You have a nice budget and for a beginner I don't think there is a nicer semi-auto machine for more consistently good drinks than the Breville Oracle Jet.

Oracle Jet - 1.5 month update
Things I did to make the Jet work better for my situation: Run water via the group head through the portafilter, dry it (but leave it a little damp, like someone mentioned) and then grind. 9/10 times it’ll tamp flat. The double shot basket seems to be too polished and it doesn’t grab as well as it s

Considering buying an Oracle Jet but is it for me? [$2000]
I'll throw my two cents in. We just bought an Oracle Jet and set it up last night. We had a Breville Barista Express, which is a good machine in its own right. I had a batch of beans in the machine that was giving me more bitter taste than usual, but I was curious if there was a difference. Holy Shi

Super automatic vs Sage/Breville Oracle Jet or Oracle Duel Boiler
https://youtu.be/lbKRSeO6i64?si=ATe66g0piKMwOY5S This video would convince me to get the Oracle Jet over the touch impress. These Breville machines aren't cheap but I think they're super cool. You get a lot of tech and a pretty good experience. I didn't watch this video but is also worth looking. ht

What’s a “waste of money purchase” that you absolutely stand by?
I’m not who you asked, but I got the Breville Oracle Jet and love, love, love it. It’s more than $1k, though.

Breville Oracle Jet
Well....I took the plunge yesterday. Jumped on the Jet train. I was looking at this, Jura's, and the Oracle Dual Boiler. Ultimately, I decided to do something I dont always do, and make the budget conscious decision. It's too early for a complete review. But its slightly smaller than the Oracle Touc

Has anyone returned a De’Longhi espresso machine after using it?
I've been a long time Breville user and decided to try a fully automatic machine. After hearing so many great things, I was excited to order the Rivelia. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me. I'm kinda picky about my coffee, and it did not meet my expectations. I'm currently in the refund process and dea

I am never buying a Breville again
Breville oracle jet user here. Fucking love that machine. It resolves all of this and is easy to use. Seems expensive but the baratza grinder, 58mm group head and the screen is worth the total cost.

Is Breville a good or bad place to start for a beginner? [$1000]
Breville is excellent and that is a good machine. For the best quality, either an upgraded integrated Breville (Oracle Jet - twice the price, extremely easy to get good results) or if you don't mind learning a bit, I really love the Bambino Plus. You need a separate grinder, but something like the B
