Oracle Jet - 1.5 month update
Things I did to make the Jet work better for my situation: Run water via the group head through the portafilter, dry it (but leave it a little damp, like someone mentioned) and then grind. 9/10 times it’ll tamp flat. The double shot basket seems to be too polished and it doesn’t grab as well as it s

Help me pick an espresso setup for my wife for Christmas [$1,500–$2,000]
The grinder is great...it is stepless and because Breville bought Baratza, the burrs have been upgraded. The Oracle Jet also uses a more robust grinding path that (in my experience) holds the settings much more accurately and should provide better durability over time.

When is it Worth Buying an Espresso Machine - Ever?
If you drink a latte running 6 a day for 5 days out of the week you're burning though 30 a week plus tips. That's 120 a month That's 1440 a year. My breville oracle touch was used and abused. I got it and fixed it up for 600. I drink a latte or two a day and have had it for over 3 years now. So with

Profitec Pro 400 or Breville Oracle Jet? looking for guidance ☕️
I have a Breville Oracle (Now 5 years old). It makes good coffee, but is limited by the grinder. I believe the Jet is a thermoblock, rather than a dual boiler system and I understand the grinder is much improved since I bought mine. I recently bought a new grinder (Fiorenzato AGS) that I should rece

Considering the Meraki Espresso Machine [~$1,500]
Lance Hedrick has exhaustively detailed reviews of both. Meraki, Oracle Jet. Bottom line: Meraki has the advantage of dosing by weight, and a dual boiler is probably more durable than the thermojet. Oracle Jet has more automation, a better grinder (based on Hedrick's comments), and near instant heat

New fellow espresso machine
+1, I think it's just perception than reality. My theory is there's two groups - group A that likes the simultaneity for perceived time savings, and group B that is actually saying they want to pull a shot and also have the ability to steam right away. Group B's need makes a lot of sense, and that n

Ninja Café Luxe Pro varying grind settings barista assist
Im currently between Oracle Jet (which has at least temperature stability and puck leveling) or go back to a Setup like Bezerra Duo DE with a GbW Grinder.I heard a lot of positive about meraki but for me personally its to new. Time will tell especially if you need support there. And the other point i

What do we think on the price of the new breville?
It's expensive but the regular oracle jet seems to basically do all the same things and I think that one isn't terribly priced all things considered. The barista touch series also seems to do the same stuff just with a 54 mm portafilter which I don't think is actually a bad thing at all. Breville ma

Upgrading from a Breville Barista Express
My ideal thermocoil/thermojet Breville machine would be something like an Infuser with a separate thermojet for just the steam wand, but they're not going to make that. They do make that. It's called the Breville Oracle Jet.
