Which machine to buy? [$2,000]
I mean before everybody jumps in and recommends random machines, you should probably decide if you want a dualboiler (or HX machine) or if a singleboiler is fine for you. Also, just in general which features are important to you. What’s the grinder you already have? - Reason I‘m asking is because I‘

Oracle Jet - updates?
No idea. I had an Oracle Touch, and "downgraded" to the Oracle Jet about 2 weeks ago. I'd say that's my primary challenge right now - dialing into my beans (Old Havana Medium-Dark Roast). I'm now on Grind Setting = 10, and it's still pulling at 7 seconds.... From experience, I go any lower, and it g

Just Bad Experiences with the Ninja Luxe ES701EU quality and Customer Service
Thanks a lot for the compilation. The comparison video was very helpful. Unfortunately non is really ticking all my boxes. Why do the Breville machines, for this price, not have grind by weight? If you change the grind size you are instantly changing the weight. Given no real alternative, I'm gravit

Volume or Time? Manual?-Another Oracle Jet Thread
Just for fun-take it for what it's worth-I asked ChatGPT about why the Oracle Jet favors a 1:3 recipe. I don't know how accurate the answer was, but here it is: ☕️ Why the Oracle Jet defaults near 1:3 That’s not a bug — it’s a marketing and consistency choice more than a barista one. 1️⃣ Targeting drin

Acidic coffee
I had the same problem and just returned it. Fiddled around with brew temp, strength, made the grinds coarser, tried different beans (fresh ones roasted less than a week old), but alas, both the espresso and coffee just tasted absolutely terrible. Over extracted and bitter. Maybe it was a faulty mac

Does a WDT tool truly make a difference?
It’s definitely overkill. I have the Breville Oracle Jet and although the built-in grinder is not top tier, it does a decent job with my IMS basket (for a somewhat smaller dose) and bottomless portafilter. The single dose basket hasn‘t produced good results at all and is the biggest waste. Not sure

Proud Mary Humble Coffee [$20]
it took me 3 attempts this morning. i have the Breville Oracle Jet and suggests 22 for the “roasted on” coffees and 28 for the grocery store coffees ”best by“ dates. I already had my grinder set at 22 for my previous “roasted on” fresh beans and worked well. However, it didn’t work at all for the Pr

Anyone come to Steel Duo from Breville Oracle?
I initially thought the Breville Oracle Jet was going to be a keeper. if I had thought it over much more carefully and read more reviews, I would have chosen something else and preferably a manual. The wand on the Jet has left a lot to be desired. When I first tried to disassemble for cleaning, it t

Meraki vs oracle jet [2000$]
While I think is silly how much bias some people have against the idea of premium Chinese machines (and especially ironic in this case considering how much people love the Timemore Sculptor and the alternative is a Breville), I just don’t see the point of buying a machine with a built in grinder whe

What grinder do you use, why, and how much did it cost?
I recently upgraded to the Mazzer Philos with 189s, which ran me about $1,200 USD. I wanted something that could deliver more consistency and clarity in flavor than the built-in grinder on my Breville Oracle Jet — especially with medium and medium-dark roasts, where small grind changes can make a bi
