I’ve had enough [BDB]
Breville dose control pro 🤣🤣 Pairing that with a BDB has got to be like having a Ferrari and putting 87 octane in it

This or that? Comparing Breville espresso machines
The letdown here is that Breville doesn't offer an otherwise advanced unit w/o a built in grinder. I find Breville grinders to be where costs are cut the most. They feel and sound cheap, and in my experience grind inconsistently. Now I have a DF54 and it's been a rock solid performer with my Bambino

Convince me not to go to Costco and buy the ninja machine. [$500]
This sort of question compares "convenience" of making your drink to the "quality" of drink you get. Both are important. Before my current prosumer setup, we bought the (expensive!) Breville Oracle (back then it was $3000 CAD, now it's closer to $4000). Like the Ninja, its design was a clever arrang

Beginner setup [3000€]
On our espresso journey, we started with Keurig and Nespresso. We thought we really liked coffee so we bought the (very expensive) Breville Oracle, all in one machine - especially so my wife could use its automated features, as she wanted "a coffee, not a project". I really like the idea of the mach

I'm in need of a new coffee machine!
I've owned 2x Barista Express machines (still have one) and 1x Breville Dual Boiler. The Dual Boiler was significantly better to use than the Express but unreliable. It completely broke down twice, and the repair cost was going to be higher than a new Barista Express so I sold it for parts and bough

Why are my shots like this all of a sudden? [Casabrews CM5418 & kingrinder K6]
Make sure the bag is closed. Store it in a cool dark place or even fridge or freezer. Sounds like the grinder is your primary issue tho. I hate the Breville built ins. I have a bdb and have used My friends barista many times

Looking for a coffee machine for markets
Thing to note about the breville barista - the built in grinder is pretty inconsistent and you won’t be able to steam/pull a shot at the same time which will slow down you down a lot. Would take you at least around 2-3 minutes to a single milk beverage which doesn’t sound like a lot of time but if s

Should I upgrade? [$1,100]
Like i said, the niche is a sidegrade over the integrated grinder. It's weak at light roasts and fine grinds, and accordingly to a commenter here, coarse grinds as well. It's a fantastic bit of kit for dark roasts, and moka, and french press, yeah, but that's about it ... Once you want medium light
