Why is my shot squirting? [Breville Barista Pro]

The things others here are saying (puck prep, grinder, etc.) are certainly applicable, but a lesser known factor is pressure. A lot of Breville machines (aside from the Dual Boiler) have an issue where the pressure hitting the puck is far, far higher than the claimed 9 bar figure. The over-pressure

Convince me not to go to Costco and buy the ninja machine. [$500]

This sort of question compares "convenience" of making your drink to the "quality" of drink you get. Both are important. Before my current prosumer setup, we bought the (expensive!) Breville Oracle (back then it was $3000 CAD, now it's closer to $4000). Like the Ninja, its design was a clever arrang

Breville Bambino mods

Save up more for a Breville Dual Boiler, Lelit Elizabeth, Silvia Pro X, or Profitec Move. This is what it is going to take to solve your problems.

I am never buying a Breville again

Said what? If you mean to say or suggest I called Breville reliable. I suggested that you reread my 1st response. I said neither were known for long term reliability, although I do agree that Turin espresso machines offer many features for the price. So does the Breville Dual boiler, but at the cost

Fellow released a new machine? Time for a photoshoot of my old ass BDB

No dual boiler is worth it for that IMO. Some exceptions like Lelit Elizabeth can use the 2nd boiler for low pressure pre-infusion. The slayer mod on the BDB maybe cannot be done on the other Breville ? Not sure. The new fellow machine has no 2nd boiler FYI

Should I upgrade? [$1,100]

Like i said, the niche is a sidegrade over the integrated grinder. It's weak at light roasts and fine grinds, and accordingly to a commenter here, coarse grinds as well. It's a fantastic bit of kit for dark roasts, and moka, and french press, yeah, but that's about it ... Once you want medium light
