Help me choose [$1,000-$1,600]
You really think the only difference between those two are Heat Exchanger vs Thermoblock? Breveille Bambino Pros: - Fast heat up.- Easy to use with programmable buttons. - Cheap. - Auto Milk steaming. - Good for quick milk drinks. Cons: - Inconsistent shot to shot. - No temperature or pressure contr

My mom wants an espresso machine for her birthday, what’s a good beginner setup for complete newbies? [$300]
Breville Bambino. No need for the Bambino Plus. Makes great coffee, well built (though a bit small and cramped), fast heat-up time, strong steam production. Fits good in a small kitchen. You will need a separate grinder .

What should I gift a new Bambino Plus owner? [$300]
The grinder is the most important thing, more than the machine. But good ones are expensive. There are many recommended here, but I always recommend Eureka Mignons for their heavy, commercial look, reliability, and overall good grind. But they have a very big range of models. A Zero is cheapest for

Breville Bambino manual: use tap water only: not distilled, not filtered
You know what, while that might be a generally OK approach, I would not suggest that Breville is giving out bad advice. These guys engineer these machines for all kitchens, and I’d argue that barely 1% of users will go through the trouble of treating the water they put in it. I found it strange that

Ditching Nespresso for real espresso. Don't know where to start, help me build a setup [$500-2k]
Low end rec: Machine: ($300-$500) Breville Bambino plus or non-plus Grinder: ($200-$215) df54 preferably but baratza encore ESP another good option Notes: obvious drawbacks of the Bambino is the size. Smaller drip tray means you'll have to empty more often, smaller reservoir means you'll have to ref

This or that? Comparing Breville espresso machines
The bambino plus and a Niche grinder is an excellent combo that takes up very, very little space and yields fantastic quality espresso and espresso drinks. All you really need in addition to that is a combo distribution tool/tamper like the Crema double sided puck-style distribution tool/leveller/ta

A night light where it matters most:)
Sorry about that. Breville seems to be tight-lipped about things. I do just think that a beefier (more metal, less plastic) Bambino Plus, with enhanced, next-tier features (temp. control, flow profiling, even the aforementioned lighting as well as a deck light, etc.) would be quite nice, for those o

Advice for upgrading my current setup? [~$2000 or less]
Separate is always the way to go and you need a good grinder. The grinders built in machines are usually shit. For $2000 you can get a Breville Bambino Plus and a Niche Zero, Timemore Sculptor, Eureka Mignon Specialita, etc. or shoot for a cheaper grinder like the DF64 and get a machine like the Pro

Bambino Plus is way too light?
Do you have a good espresso grinder? Then definitely don’t buy a bigger Breville with a built in grinder. The bambino can work great but I agree I would not want to live with the “feel” of this lightweight machine. My lelit is 30+ pounds with water and does not move a bit when locking in the portafi
