I’ve owned many « high-end » bluetooth headphones over the last 2 or 3 years, including the Sennheiser Momentum 4, Bose QC Ultra Gen 1 and 2, B&W Px7 S2e, B&W Px7 S3, B&W Px8 S1 and S2, Beoplay H95, Focal Bathys, Sony XM5, and several others… Right now, the Cambridge Audio P100 SE offer by far the b

Let i start with saying I'm not an audiophile or expert at all, I just tested 4 headphones because I needed a new one. I compared the bose qc ultra 2nd gen, Sony xm6, b&w px8 and b&w px7 s3 i had the bose and sony at home for some days and then went to a store to compare the b&w So for noise cancell

If someone has a better answer please fill in but to my understanding: If you’re on an iPhone 13 mini + Tidal, the codec stuff (AAC, aptX, etc.) doesn’t really matter — iPhones only do AAC over Bluetooth, and both PX7 S3 and PX8 handle that fine. Sound quality differences you’ll notice are more abou

How I hear the Px8 S2 compared to Px7 S3, Px8 S2 has a more colored and warmer sound signature tuning with its elevated mid bass, while maintaining clarity and details, and wider soundstage than OG Px8. Depending on the genre of music you listen to, the elevated lower mids can muddy instrument separ

The ANC is a definite upgrade over the q30 you had.. The B&W are simply on another level so you should be fine.. Honestly the q30 isn’t really comparable to the px7 s3.. You’ll find a whole new level of listening to your music on em.. Also the earcups are deep and soft so they passively drown out no

I have both the B&W PX7 S3 and the Sony XM5, and for flights I always take the Sonys. Under those conditions the sound quality difference is barely noticeable, but the Sonys’ ANC is far better than the weak ANC on the B&Ws, and they’re also much more comfortable for long listening sessions.

I was in the same position as OP and considered most of the headphones mentioned here and finally settled on the B&W PX7 (s3, the recent version). Boy, are they good. To be fair, all the reviews say the noise cancellation itself is not the absolute class-best, “only” good, but all the other features

Yes. I went through quite a sequence... First I got Px7 S2e about 2 months ago, and I liked them a lot for clarity and dynamic qualities, but for me they were lacking in the low end (at least compared to my old Sennheizer Momentum 4's). So then I decided to try Px8's during the Amazon july 4-th sale

Let us know how you find the B&W PX7 S3! If the comfort (wearing them for multiple hours at the office) and ANC (effectively filtering out colleagues) are on pair with the Bose Ultra 2nd Gen then that’s a serious option too!

I've got the XM6 and Px7 S3 here right now, plus the S2e and QC non-Ultra. Had the QC Ultra a few times but sent them all back due to creaking and feeling very cheap. First pair also had bad white noise, the others lesser so but it was still there. Great ANC, good sound but hard to recommend when th
