SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen

Before purchasing the Bose Soundlink Flex Gen 2 from Costco, please consider Bose recently disabled some key features through a software update on many of its products, which includes these speakers. (I have a pair myself bought in December). I think this is one of the stupidest corporate decisions

Fair enough. I've got there Bose SoundLink Mini II which I prefer over the Flex (2nd gen) sound wise (and startup sound wise).

I'm having the same problem with my Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen), I bought it on BF discounts so don't want to send it back but I'm really disappointed my 9 year old UE BOOM 2 drains much slower when turned off even though it supports turning on via the app.
