QuietComfort Ultra

I've been in a dilemma since last year after getting dissatisfied with the sound quality on my Soundcore Q30s. I kept swapping between AirPods Pro 2 and Galaxy Buds (I use a Samsung S23 Plus), but I have small ears and they always left me fatigued after long hours of calls and work.

I’ve had the gen 1 QC earbuds since early 2021 and the QC Ultra headphones caught my interest a few months back especially since I’ve been traveling more in recent years. Decided to buy one late July as a gift for myself from a local distributor but the unit was defective so decided not to get a rep

So I jumped on a deal for a refurbished QC Ultra for £240 (discount magic ✨). Felt like a steal.

Unboxed them, all hyped, and… surprise! One ear cup started heating up like it was trying to cook my ear. 🥵 Plus the right side had this weird ticking sound - like it was sending Morse code to the mothe

They're expensive, but I'm not sure I'd call them outrageous. They're pretty in line with other headphones in that class. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 is $450, Sennheiser HDB 630 is $500. And both of those are heavy with plastic and don't contain the H2 chip.

Just got both of them, very short te using them but damn are they good. APP2 ANC is no joke, they sound pretty good for in ears.

APM feeling is so damn premium, they sound hella spacious.

I’ve recently purchased and tested both the XM6 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2, and here is my brief review:

1. Sound Quality: Slight edge to the QC Ultra 2, sound feels slightly fuller with a slightly wider soundstage, even after EQ on the XM6. Again, the difference is slight, and hard to notice.

2. ANC

I just bought my Bose Ultra 2 Headphones, I have only worn them a few times, they are actually pretty good. I haven’t tried all of the functions - yet. They are better than my Bose QC 45’s - an older pair headphones.

If you are looking for a kinda warm fatigue free sound signature then get the bose QuietComfort Ultra/ Ultra 2. And Adjust the 3 Band EQ to Bass: -6 to -4 depending on your preference Mids: 0 to +3 Highs: -4 to +2 depending how much sparkle you want This makes them sound like neutral(ish) warm headp
