QuietComfort Ultra

I bought a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort Ultras after seeing them posted in r/BuyItForLife because a girl used them everyday for 6 years before they broke 👀 worth every penny.

I’ve had the gen 1 QC earbuds since early 2021 and the QC Ultra headphones caught my interest a few months back especially since I’ve been traveling more in recent years. Decided to buy one late July as a gift for myself from a local distributor but the unit was defective so decided not to get a rep

So I jumped on a deal for a refurbished QC Ultra for £240 (discount magic ✨). Felt like a steal.

Unboxed them, all hyped, and… surprise! One ear cup started heating up like it was trying to cook my ear. 🥵 Plus the right side had this weird ticking sound - like it was sending Morse code to the mothe

They're expensive, but I'm not sure I'd call them outrageous. They're pretty in line with other headphones in that class. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 is $450, Sennheiser HDB 630 is $500. And both of those are heavy with plastic and don't contain the H2 chip.

I’ve had the QuietComfort & QuietComfort Ultra for a while and I love them both, but I always regretted not getting the NC 700 because I thought they looked so sleek and modern. I’ve recently purchased and tested both the XM6 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2, and here is my brief review:

1. Sound Quality: Slight edge to the QC Ultra 2, sound feels slightly fuller with a slightly wider soundstage, even after EQ on the XM6. Again, the difference is slight, and hard to notice.

2. ANC

Gen 1 QC Ultra $149.97 at Costo. September 30th is the last day to get the $50 giftcard. I got them just in time.
