I use a Boox Note Air 4C for this. The 10” screen is a bit tight for split screen. The Tab XC is their color 13” model which reportedly is not as good in terms of handwriting feel but is otherwise a similar device.

I find the size of the Paper Pro perfect for carrying around especially since I do use the Remarkable folio it's not too heavy and it's not too small. For context I had the 13.3 inch Boox Tab XC and that was far too large. I use this for work and other places as well. My Scribe Colorsoft stays home

https://streamable.com/0y8ada The size isn't going to be what you're looking for, but in terms of responsiveness, that's a Boox tab xc (probably in one of the faster modes instead of my preference of regal?). It's fast enough, but annoying to do regularly.
