Will Note Max get another update?

Works great? Wow. Here are just a few of the bugs I run into constantly: Worst ghosting I have ever had on an e-ink device (and I have a few). Every page of a document or notebook requires as full refresh (swipe) unless you are ok with all the remnants of the previous screen. This was made even wors

About handwriting OCR…

Notewise destroys the Onyx Boox OCR. You can keep your notes exported from onyx boox exported as vector PDF, import into notewise as PDFand then you keep adding to your notes manually or search all of your notes via the AI for that notebook. The only downside is there's 150 page limit

Small e-reader device to read academic books in pdf

Yeah. Some e-readers like boox have a PDF feature to TRY to address this, by splitting a PDF page into four quadrants. I've tried that and still it is not that good. While it eliminates the dreaded janky zooming in and out by just splitting one pdf page into 4 pages that is zoomed in, it doesn't bod

What would you like in a 7.8 inch display device?

I'd like a non-proprietary format for saving notes — for example using the PDF format. And using a PDF engine from one of the larger providers (say Adobe?) to ensure greatest compatibility. Not using whatever PDF engine BOOX is currently using, which is awful in so many ways. Similarly, using a non-

[April 2026 Megathread] UX Feedback & Feature Improvements

I am currently on an older Boox (the note air 2)But running 4.1 I think you should allow OCR in the notes app to preserve indents and Spacing formating instead of just plain text when I had a kindle scribe I could Convert writing to text and all my spacing and text size would be preserved and it wou

Note taking app that lets you write directly on PDFs in separate column?

If that first image looks like it would be useful for you, then check out the return policy for that device and decide if it's worth giving a shot. If it turns out to not be what you hoped, at least you know. Boox devices are the only ones that do split screen that I have experience with, and I quit

just bought onyx boox tab ultra c pro , any tips for a student using it ?

I agree with others that you really need a sturdy case because this tablet is extremely fragile. I also carry my first Air 3C carefully, but everyone reports that this model’s screen is especially delicate. I also recommend trying different note-taking apps. On my BOOX I installed Google Calendar an

How to send a handwritten page to whatsapp contact?

Export the relevant page(s) from your Boox device as a PDF file, then send it. If you've set up your Google Drive/OneDrive/Dropbox/etc. backups, you probably have the latest copy sitting in there. You can transfer files easily using mirrored folders with Syncthing-fork, or with KDE Connect, or with

Open-source tool to debloat, preview, export, and create Boox .note files from SVGs

Hi! I am still testing this on my grayscale device Note 3 (2023 OS version). Happy to report that .note debloating works great, even preserves links within the notebook (wow, I did not expect that) so my Index pages continue to work. Unfortunately, pdf export does not work well for me. Svg export se

I made notes and annotations to an article in Neoreader so I could send it someone else via email but for the life of me I can’t find any format (word, pdf, etc) which allows the notes I made to show up.

I’m not sure I understand. I’m still very new to using eink and have only had my Boox for a little while. When you say long press the file in the library, are you talking about the NeoReader I made the annotations in? I think I figured out what the problem was. It will all probably be a bit “duhh” f
