What? Given how expensive these things are, I feel like they should be kind enough NOT to release garbage updates which the community is almost unanimously disappointed with. I loved my Boox Note Max and I wish there was an alternative.

100% kobo. Its cheaper than the boox and in all honesty I think a better quality product. I had a boox note air 4c and it stopped charging (not a good look for all other product lines.) Kobo is repairable, boox is not. To get a black and white device that costs more than a color device is honestly s

Keyboard sells in Europe for nearly 170 € - that's quite a lot. https://www.ereader.store/de/store/-boox-magnetische-tastatur-huelle-fuer-tab-x-c-note-max-155.html Given that I barely used my keyboard with the Tab Ultra C, I doubt that I will buy it with the keyboard. An external BT keyboard seems t

I've got myself a few e-ink devices, like the Remarkable Paper Pro, SuperNote, Boox Note Max, Amazon Scribe and Viwoods. I sent them all back and stuck with the fly note 2. It's just the right size, writing is smooth and it's super easy to use. It's a great note-taking platform, you can get instant

Used to be the only way you could get 13 inch screens (most of the big BOOX before the Note Max were Mobius). But, yes, expensive, not as crisp and some report a less satisfactory writing experience.

Seeing as there are very few people who daily drive a setup where they lug around two Boox Note Max tablets and a keyboard, I think this is probably a hard sell. A device like this would be quite cumbersome and not exactly cheap – it would cost more and weigh more than a reMarkable Paper Pro plus a

I’m having the same issues with my new Boox Note Max, and I’m seriously considering returning it. Writing in the Notes app feels unstable. Palm rejection isn’t reliable, and it keeps zooming accidentally while I’m trying to write. Erasing is extremely laggy in the Notes app. If I use a stylus with a

With the obvious defect of ghosting on the devices I wouldn't buy the Note Max. It'll probably lose a lot of resale value if a new one comes out and it works better. Maybe check Bigme and see if they have a big screen one, I hear their OS isn't as good as Boox but don't know if their build quality i

I tried out a multitude of devices last year. Read all of Berserk and Invincible on some Boox tablets. What I found: the 7 inch models are the perfect weight and any larger is too energy intensive to hold. I bought a lenovo eink laptop at one point that was cool. I got a playdate at one point for it

Boox Note Air 3C 2 years Would love to upgrade to either a Supernote Manta or a Note Max, but they are too expensive Ngl, I wouldn't recommend Boox nowadays, I love my NA3C, but the latest boox's products have not been very good and the software is awful. They pushed 3 updates for the NA3C that make
