We'd like to be able to disable pinch to zoom in the Boox Notes app. Otherwise it starts zooming randomly while we write notes. You removed the button that disables pinch to zoom. Why? I'm going to guess that within 3 months, there will be a 13.3 inch Note Max C that will be a better device than this glass screen, suboptimal non EMR surface pen Tab X C. That said, dammit about my willpower given I've been waiting 7 years for a Boox 13.3 inch color device.

I returned the Boox Note Max because of this and other bugs like no option to disable pinch to zoom in the notes app in 4.1.1. The new Speed mode is very good though, it is very fast and clear with almost no ghosting.

Just bought a new Boox note max, and I have a similar issue when turning pages. Every so often (maybe every 5-10 minutes) when I try to turn the page, the screen becomes unresponsive. But it does recognize gestures, and if you keep scrolling then after several seconds (5 to 20) when it unfreezes it

You can look into other e ink readers like Boox and Supernote too. I would say boox are the best spec wise but buggy and risky, supernote best company and long support for devices. I tried them all plus a Samsung tablet but ended up returning them all, since screen size was a deal breaker for me. I
