Not today, e-waste! Boox sent me a new USB-C charging board for $6 out of warranty, can't believe it still works

Kudos to Onyx Boox for providing good customer service. I liked it a lot.

Any tips for Textbooks and Scientific Papers?

Honestly, this is probably not the device for image-heavy PDF files, in my opinion. You may be better served with a larger e-ink device. I have used some of the larger color e-ink devices from Onyx Boox for this purpose. They are not cheap, but provide a much nicer experience.

My 13 year old wants an e-reader, help.

This is such a great gift! I also have ADHD and ereader actually helps a lot to focus on the book, especially with seeing how many minutes/pages is left in a chapter Main and most popular companies are Amazon Kindle, Kobo, Onyx Boox I don't advise to buy Amazon Kindle, you will be trapped in their e

Getting Kindle Scribe e-book reader shipped from US. Is that a good idea?

If you're going to take notes, get an Onyx Boox. It runs Android. The device is expensive, but you can install Libby and never buy books anymore. I have a Boox Note Air (2020) running Android 10 that is still working great, though the Android version is considered old now. If you just want to read,

Please Pin the Megathread Post

I have no interest in software support or a faster device. I have a computer. And doubling is hyperbole, not a price target. The point is that the fewer caveats that I have to add when recommending an Onyx Boox device to someone, the fewer issues I have to warn people about, the more the price can r

Boox note air 2

Is the air 2 different from the note air 2 ? Onyx has so many different products... I have a note air 2+ (which isn't really different from the note air 2). I bought it a few years ago (used, but not very much), and it is still a very good writing and reading tablet. It's clearly a premium device. E

Is BOOX better than iPad for note taking and reading or not worth it if you already have a tablet

I am a grad student who has both a boox note air2 and an older ipad. The major consideration for getting a large-format ereader is eyestrain. Do you get eyestrain reading textbooks on a laptop or ipad? I didn't have a problem with it in undergrad but 10 years later in grad school found that reading

Is the PP what I need?

Look up the Onyx Boox Note Air 4C/5C. I picked up the RM2 for a similar purpose, then switched to the note 4c for color, and haven't looked back. Many more features for a similar price (including a backlight, voice to text directly into notes), near-identical writing texture and size. Remarkable has
