Iİ own an onyx boox note air4c. I carry it with a cover put in a protective zipped case. Double protection. Seems bulky but the best way to save them. These are expensive and fragile devices.

100% kobo. Its cheaper than the boox and in all honesty I think a better quality product. I had a boox note air 4c and it stopped charging (not a good look for all other product lines.) Kobo is repairable, boox is not. To get a black and white device that costs more than a color device is honestly s

Only for Android 15 is it worth it. Android 13 is from 2022 and 15 is from the end of 2024. In terms of OS support, you are guaranteed at least 2 additional years (Android 16 is just beginning to be implemented) so, for this alone, it is worth it. Also, let's not forget that BOOX only guarantees 3 y

Do you need color and a frontlight? If not, I would steer away from the note air 4c. I own one but I have found the color and bsr make me want to use it like a bad iPad... I use a supernote as my daily driver for note taking and like it way more. Also my first e ink tablet was a boox go 10.3 which I

For extensive notes, I don't think these two are great options for you, OP. They're great e-readers, but it looks like you want a device more for note-taking with the added benefit of being an ereader. Boox would be the way to go vs Kobo simply because Boox is more of an open system since it's Andro

Yeah, that is the (expensive) question. In the past I have looked at the quaderno gen 2, but that is a somewhat limited device and difficult to obtain in Europe. For now, I will have to settle for a 10" device, I got the Boox Note Air 4C, but I will probably sell the both Boox devices and get a Supe

Price is the main concern. For those who only want to read on e-paper, Kindle is sufficient. Not everyone wants or needs the features of the Boox. I have both Note Air4c and Kindle Basic 11. I almost always bring the Kindle 80% of the time during travels. No one who only wants to read ebooks should

The Tab X C is terrible for writing. Air4C writes better than the X C, but worse than the 10.3 or the Max. And they are both color screens, which is just plain downgrade for reading, even in full sunlight. The Note Max has terrible ghosting. And a lot of this If you want the best reader and writer (

The Boox Pen 2 Pro is almost as ridiculously priced as Amazon's offering here in the UK. Plus, I resent the idea of paying that for a pen which should have come with a device as expensive as the Note Air 4c in the first place. Poor showing from Boox, it has to be said. I'll check the others you sugg

I do agree that these e-ink devices are expensive. At some point, I was thinking of getting both e-ink lol, one for reading and one just for taking notes/read pdf The only thing that I worry about boox is the Android version, and they release products way too fast, which mean note air 4c will become
