IMHO, all Kaleido 3 color displays are flawed - dark and unusable without front light, muted colors, long pen tip to ink distance - compared to Gallery 3. You are not alone! On day 3 owning new Air 4C I put the reader into bag, hang the bag on the chair not realizing the bag strap is longer than the chair. I found the Nomad to be a harder writing surface especially since Supernote suggests using their Ceramic tipped pens. If you swapped to a different tipped pen it might be better. I went with Boox (Note AIr4C) which had a scratchier feel.

The Boox Note Air 4c and the Tab XC are great options if you need color. But color eink is not as nice as b&w: it's 150ppi vs 300ppi, it makes the screen much darker, and it increases the distance between the pen and the ink, making the writing experience worse than b&w. The oversight in this release is unbelievable. Removing the option to disable page turning by swipe, combined with the worst palm touch rejection in the industry makes the Note Air 4C an extremely frustrating device to use. I constantly swipe pages (unintentionally) when writing. This is so annoying
